Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim wa salatu wa salanu wa salamu ala il-mab'ooti rahmatan l-alameen nabiyana Muhammad wa ala alihi wa sahbihi ajma'een From the great mercies of Allah Azawajal and from the great bounties of Allah Azawajal and from the great favors of Allah Azawajal is that Allah Azawajal guided His servants to that which benefits them Allah Azawajal guided His servants, reminded His servants of that which benefits them and Allah Azawajal knows His servants Allah Azawajal says Aala ya'lamu man khalaqa wa huwa laatifu l-khabir There's not the one who created, created you Does not He know? Doesn't Allah Azawajal knows His servants? So Allah Azawajal guides us to that which is of benefit and that which has our salvation and our safety in this life and the next and from those affairs that Allah Azawajal has legislated and from the affairs that Allah Azawajal has ordered and from the affairs that Allah Azawajal has reminded the servants of is the importance of Toa'ba the importance of repenting to Allah and turning to Allah My beloved brothers and sisters we should understand that Toa'ba is from the inseparable affairs and characteristics of the life of the Muslim Toa'ba and repentance is from the affairs that cannot be removed or separated from the life of the believer Allah Azawajal reminds us in the Quran that with Toa'ba we have success Allah Azawajal says in Surat Noor wa tubu ila Allahi jami'an ayyuha al-muminoon la'allakum tuflihoon Allah Azawajal said in Surat Noor and repent to Allah all of you believers repent to Allah all of you believers so that what? so that you may be successful so that you may be successful likewise Allah Azawajal informs us in the Quran that he loves repentance and he loves those who repent Allah Azawajal said in Surat Al-Baqarah Inna Allaha yuhibbu tawabin wa yuhibbu al-mutatahirin indeed Allah loves those who repent and he loves those who purify themselves when Allah Azawajal tells you in the Quran that he loves this then it should be the goal of every believer Allah Azawajal is telling you what he loves what he desires for you so when the believer hears that they race to do it they race to implement it they make it something inseparable in their lives Allah Azawajal tells you in the Quran that he wants to forgive you Allah Azawajal said in Surat Nisa wa Allahu yuhibbu al-yatuba alaykum wa yuhibbu al-lathina yattabi'oon as-shahwati and to milu, mail and azeema Allah Azawajal said Allah wants to forgive you Allah wants to forgive you and those who follow their desires they want you to go far astray they want you to go far astray Allah Azawajal is informing us in this verse in Surat Nisa that he wants to forgive you Allah Azawajal knows his creation Allah Azawajal knows that he created us weak the human has been created with weakness we've been created with weakness to lean toward temptation to lean toward desires and Allah Azawajal said he wants to forgive you look at that hadith the hadith al-Qudsiy where the Prophet SAW said that Allah Azawajal said Ya'ibadi O my servants Allah Azawajal reminds us, speaks to us O my servants Ya'ibadi Inakum tuqti'oonan layla wa n'ahar aw bil layla wa n'ahar wa ana aghfiru dhunu ba jamia fa astaghfiru ni aghfiru lakum O my servants O my servants you sin day and night you sin day and night not you sin sometimes not you occasionally sin O my servants you sin day and night and I forgive all sins so seek my forgiveness and I will forgive you my beloved brothers and sisters what more could we want from Allah Azawajal than him telling us than him reminding us that we sin day and night and I forgive all sins so seek my forgiveness and I will forgive you my beloved brothers and sisters from the athare of Toba is that when we repent to Allah Azawajal Allah would replace our bad deeds with good deeds Allah Azawajal would not only forgive us Allah will replace the bad deeds with good deeds Allah Azawajal said in Surat al-Furqan إلا من تابة و آمنة و عملة صالحة فأولئك يبدل الله سيئاتهم حسنات وكان الله غفور الرحيمة Allah Azawajal said except those who repent and believe and do righteous deeds when you repent you believe and you do righteous deeds then what does Allah Azawajal said indeed they are the ones that Allah turned their bad deeds into good deeds so not only does Allah forgive you not only does Allah have mercy Allah Azawajal would give you a good deed from you doing what you did a bad deed you were disobedient to Allah Allah Azawajal not only forgives you but he turns the bad deed into a good deed what more could we want from our Lord Tabaraku Ta'ala from the affair of repentance is that the prophets and the messengers the best of mankind that Allah Azawajal sent for the salvation of the nations from their call from their call from their reminder was that they reminded the people to repent to Allah Azawajal the prophets and the messengers Prophet Nooh Prophet Hud Prophet Saleh all of the prophets and messengers they reminded the people repent to Allah and seek his forgiveness Allah Azawajal said in Surat Hud wa ya qaumi that Hud said wa ya qaumi astaghfiru rabbakum thumma thubu ilay yursilasimaa aalaykum midrara wa izidukum quwa tan ila quwatikum that from the statements of Prophet Hud calling to Tauheed calling to the oneness of Allah in addition to that Prophet Hud alayhi salatu as-salam said oh my people repent to Allah and seek his forgiveness repent to Allah and seek his forgiveness what would Allah do? would Allah only forgive you? no Allah will send the rain in abundance Allah Azawajal would increase you in strength you're strong Allah Azawajal would increase you in strength look at that not only would Allah forgive you not only would Allah have mercy upon you Allah will send you the blessings from the sky Allah will give you physical strength similar to that was the statement of Nuh alayhi salatu as-salam when Allah Azawajal said that Nuh said to his people qu'tas taqfiru rabbakum ennahu kana ghaffara yursilasimaa aalaykum midrara wa yumdidukum bi amwalin wa baneen wa yajallakum jannatin wa yajallakum anhara Prophet Noah said the same thing Prophet Noah alayhi salatu as-salam he said I said to my people seek Allah's forgiveness I said to my people seek Allah's forgiveness Allah will send the rain in abundance Allah will send the blessings from the sky wa yumdidukum bi amwalin wa baneen not only that Allah will increase you in wealth Allah will increase you in children only? No Allah will give you gardens Allah Azawajal will give you gardens and Allah Azawajal will give you rivers my beloved brothers and sisters what more could we want from Allah Azawajal? not only does he forgive you not only does he have mercy upon you Allah will increase you in wealth Allah will increase you in children Allah will give you gardens Allah will give you rivers look at the mercy of Allah Azawajal look at the forgiveness of Allah Azawajal so the affair of Toba the affair of repentance is an affair that should become inseparable it should become a permanent characteristic of the believer something that you never stop doing I say this I ask Allah to forgive me and you forgive him he is the Forgiver of the Merciful In the name of Allah and praise be to Allah and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah Nabi and Muhammad Wa minat tabal huda also from the important reminders with regards to the affair of Toba is that an intelligent Muslim a conscious Muslim does not wait to repent an intelligent Muslim someone who is conscious someone who knows Allah someone who knows his deen does not wait to repent because when you do so who told you that you got another week to live who told you that you have another month to live by the grace of our Lord Tabarak Wata'ala we are in the month of Jamad Al Awal which means four months until the blessed month of Ramadan look how quickly it came upon us four months until the blessed month of Ramadan you have those from amongst us saying internally and externally I gotta do a few things before Ramadan I gotta go a bit more clubbing I gotta do a bit more of this I gotta go on a few more dates I gotta watch a few more movies I gotta drink a bit more because once Ramadan comes I gotta stop my beloved brothers and sisters who said to you that you will see tomorrow which angel came to you and said that you will see tomorrow Allah Az-Wajal informs us in the Quran in Surah An-Nisa that Toba is not for the person who waits Allah Az-Wajal says Allah Az-Wajal said Indeed repentance is upon Allah Indeed repentance is upon Allah for those who do sins in a state of ignorance when you disobey Allah you're ignorant you're not thinking about the consequences you're not thinking about the ramifications you're not thinking about what comes after so Allah Az-Wajal said Indeed repentance is upon Allah for the person who does a sin in ignorance not that you don't know it's a sin but you didn't think about the consequences then Allah Az-Wajal says And they repent immediately They repent immediately then Allah says the opposite the individuals that said I'm gonna do a bit more clubbing I'm gonna go on a few more dates drinking this that Allah Az-Wajal says Allah Az-Wajal said and repentance is not for the one who does evil deeds until death comes to him and then he says now I have to repent repentance is not for the one who does evil deeds until death approaches him and then he says now I want to repent Allah says that is not repentance that is not repentance that's not the way of the believer it's not the way of the believer my beloved brother and a person says well no I'm not waiting till death I'm just waiting till Ramadan and once again who informed you you will see Ramadan which angel came to you and said that you will see Ramadan my beloved brothers and sisters this affair is extremely important this affair of repenting to Allah turning to Allah seeking Allah Az-Wajal's forgiveness is an extremely important affair the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam reminded us All of the children of Adam make mistakes Allah Az-Wajal knows us Allah Az-Wajal created us He knows that we incline toward temptation He knows that we have weaknesses the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said all of the children of Adam are sinful all of the children of Adam make mistakes and then the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said وَخَيْرُ خَطَّائِينَ اَتَّوَابُونَ and the best of those who make mistakes are those who repent are those who repent we ask Allah Az-Wajal to make us from those who repent we ask Allah Az-Wajal to make us from those who sincerely seek his forgiveness we ask Allah Az-Wajal to not make us from those who delay repentance until the time of death comes to us may Allah Az-Wajal forgive us and have mercy upon us may Allah Az-Wajal forgive us and have mercy upon us may Allah Az-Wajal make us sincere in repentance in seeking his forgiveness may Allah wipe away our sins and replace them with good deeds Allah knows best وَصَلُّ اللَّهُ وَصَلُمَ بَارَكَ لَنَ بِيْنَ مَحَمْدْ وَعَلَا آلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ وَصَلُمْ تَسْلِيمٍ كَتِيرًا
