Floral decoration is being carried out in the Sri Darbar Sahib complex.
Amritsar, 10 September – Today, the Sri Akhand Path Sahib was commenced at Gurdwara Sri Ram Sar Sahib in connection with the first Prakash Gurpurab of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. On this occasion, Mr. Major Singh, General Manager of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, Mr. Jatinderpal Singh, Manager of Gurdwara Shahid Ganj Sahib, and the Sangat (congregation) were present.
Providing information in this regard, Mr. Major Singh, Manager of Sri Darbar Sahib, stated that the first Prakash Gurpurab of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is being celebrated on 12 September 2026 with the cooperation of the Sikh Sangat by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee. In this connection, the Sri Akhand Path Sahib was commenced today at Gurdwara Sri Ram Sar Sahib, the Bhog (offering of the recited scripture) of which will fall on 12 September. He stated that a Gurmat Samagam (Guru's wisdom gathering) will be held on 11 September at Gurdwara Sri Ram Sar Sahib, in which Singhs and famous Ragis (singers) of the Panth will connect the Sangat with Gurbani (Guru's word) and Guru history. On 12 September, a Nagar Kirtan (processional kirtan) will be arranged from Gurdwara Sri Ram Sar Sahib to Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib in accordance with ancient tradition, in which the President of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, along with Singhs and prominent personalities, will be present.
He stated that on 12 September, the day of the first Prakash Purab, decorations will be made at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, Sri Akal Takht Sahib, and Gurdwara Baba Attal Rai Sahib, and a Shabd Vichar Kirtan Samagam (gathering of kirtan on the contemplation of the Word) will be held in the Divan Hall of Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib at night. Similarly, there will also be a light display (deepmala) and fireworks at night. Mr. Major Singh stated that the preparations for the first Prakash Purab have been completed, and beautiful floral decoration is being carried out at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib with the cooperation of the Sikh Sangat. He appealed to the Sangat to participate in the gatherings along with their families.

ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਮੈਨੇਜਰ ਸ. ਮੇਜਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਿੱਖ ਸੰਗਤ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਗੁਰਪੁਰਬ 12 ਸਤੰਬਰ 2026 ਨੂੰ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧ ਵਿਚ ਅੱਜ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮਸਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਖੰਡ ਪਾਠ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਆਰੰਭ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਭੋਗ 12 ਸਤੰਬਰ ਪੈਣਗੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ 11 ਸਤੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮਸਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਥ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਰਾਗੀ ਜਥੇ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ, ਗੁਰ-ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਨਗੇ। 12 ਸਤੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਰਾਤਨ ਪ੍ਰੰਪਰਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮਸਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਚਖੰਡ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੱਕ ਨਗਰ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਸਜਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਹਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਧਾਮੀ ਸਮੇਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਸਖਸੀਅਤਾਂ ਹਾਜਰੀ ਭਰਨਗੀਆਂ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ 12 ਸਤੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਪੁਰਬ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਸੱਚਖੰਡ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਬਾਬਾ ਅਟੱਲ ਰਾਇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਜਲੌ ਸਜਾਏ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਮੰਜੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀਵਾਨ ਹਾਲ ਵਿਖੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਦੀਪਮਾਲਾ ਤੇ ਆਤਿਸ਼ਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਵੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਸ. ਮੇਜਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਪੁਰਬ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਤਿਆਰੀਆਂ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਸੱਚਖੰਡ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਫੁੱਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਖ਼ੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਸਜਾਵਟ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਸਮਾਗਮਾਂ ’ਚ ਸ਼ਮੂਲੀਅਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ।
