Practical, craft-based, and personal care within the community transforms individual grief into shared communal experience and prevents the feeling of isolation.

We remember. We are with you. You are not alone.

The text reports on an initiative by graphic design students of the Katz-Orija High School for Girls of the OTS, which acted after the murder of their school counselor's daughter at the Nova Festival. The students created bespoke sukkah decorations and personal letters for the grieving families in the community. These were packaged and delivered in person, which is understood as an act of chesed (kindness) and communal solidarity. The families responded with joy and the comfort that their loved ones will not be forgotten. The students describe the action not as a mere school project, but as a genuine encounter. They turned their training and skills into acts of leadership and active standing up for those who suffer. The central message is: 'We remember. We are with you. You are not alone.'

“We remember. We are with you. You are not alone.” This was the message brought by Graphic Design students at OTS’s Katz Oriya High School for Girls , who created, packaged, and hand-delivered custom Sukkah decorations and personal letters to bereaved families in the community – including their own beloved school counselor, whose daughter Rinat Hy”d was murdered at the Nova festival. The families responded with joy and comfort from knowing their loved ones are never forgotten. And the girls described it not as a school project but as a real encounter in which they were able to parlay their education and skills into acts of profound chesed, leadership, and community connection.
