The Quranic narrative of Solomon and Bilqis is not a mere myth, but a historical and revolutionary critique of elitist rule that, through the humility of the Basmala and the demand for the pursuit of truth, remains valid for modern media society as well.
Bismillahirrahmanirrahim makes no sense as long as one has not properly engaged with the name of Allah and also knows some of the names of Allah.
The text analyzes the Quranic narrative of Solomon and Bilqis (Surah 27) and places it in the context of historical diplomatic correspondence, such as the Amarna letters. The speaker argues that the use of the Basmala ("In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful") in Solomon's letter represents a revolutionary gesture of humility and equality that contradicts the elitist and polytheistic claim to rule of the time. He compares this historical diplomacy with modern media practices and emphasizes the necessity of "fact-checking" and critical verification of information, supported by a hadith and a Quranic verse. The Basmala is interpreted as an instrument of inner introspection and ethical orientation of the individual that breaks through power structures and egoism. The text calls for laying aside the unconscious "glasses" of patriarchal readings and recognizing the liberating dimension of the text. A connection is drawn between historical diplomacy, modern media criticism, and spiritual self-knowledge.

Thank you for enduring the heat, but you have come. A small group today, but we have him here. Small, but fine. And on to one of the most interesting topics, especially for modern times, that the Quran offers us. Because through this story, we are also held up to our unconscious glasses. And when one has learned to be equipped with this story and then goes back to the Quran and asks, where else have I always worn different glasses and had other, yes, simply assumptions in my head and a pair of scissors in my head, one will notice whether it comes from there, yes, not only in the women’s team. Last time we already discussed the first ten verses, approximately, or twelve. And very briefly summarized, Solomon is on the move with his army and the hoopoe is missing. He also quickly notices that the hoopoe is missing. And now he asks, where is it? And then it says to him, yes, it comes back and tells him, yes, I have discovered a people who prostrate to the sun and have a queen. So their leader is a queen, a woman, and how can they only prostrate to the sun and not to God Himself. And now, we have spoken about all the eggs, about idolatry, about the hoopoe itself, what kind of symbol it is, and what the various interpretations are in the Sufi current, in the rational current, in the classical current, and so on. Now it continues with how Solomon, peace be upon him, reacts to this. He says here, O Solomon, we will see whether you tell the truth or whether you belong to the liars. That is, what does Solomon, peace be upon him, do here? He does a fact-checking. He looks, he does not immediately believe, he is not so trusting that he says, yes, yes, it will work out, but he says, yes, okay, I will examine whether what you say is true or not. And this has perhaps become even more important in our present century than it was 1000 years ago, because we now naturally have a flood of news with the new media possibilities, to which we have constant access. That was not the case back then. Back then, it was first strictly selected. What is worth reporting and what is not? And especially on the Arabian Peninsula, if one wanted to report something, one packaged this story into a poem, memorized this poem by heart, and then taught this poem to others, and spread it in this way. And this is already a very high hurdle for something to be spread in the world or not. Because I already have to... And of course, people back then also learned to read between the lines, because one naturally compresses all news to the maximum, because one does not have so much... so one does not have so much exchange, one does not have so much memory capacity. This was not a writing community. And therefore, one so to speak always thought along with every line of a poem, with every line of a book, and read between the lines. And this has been somewhat lost to us, because we now have an entire media industry that depends on producing a new newspaper of 200 pages or so every day. And then one has to start pulling something out of one’s fingers. But and because one has now noticed, okay, one can no longer hide anything in today’s time, that was different before, before one could hide things, one could not pass on things that suppressed transmission, and so on, that is no longer possible today. And what does one do instead nowadays? One simply floods with disinformation and floods the social media and the media in general with very different narratives from the left
to the right, in the hope that then what is closest to the truth will not play a major role or have a significant impact anymore. But rather: Trust, but Verify. I have Bikithabihada, veralke eleihin to Matawalla anhum, from Durmada Yajon. Take this writing of mine, deliver it to them, and then turn away from them, and then see what they reply. That is, Südde Manal Echsada does what was also customary in that time. He begins with a diplomatic letter from king to king; he begins with diplomacy. And, ah yes, perhaps still, before we go deeper into this. The Prophet Sarasandam says in a Hadith, which is indeed in Zahir Muslim, but it is in Muradimid Zahir Muslim and is, is Zahir, but we will come to the Hadiths again shortly. One must always be careful with Hadiths. He says: kefer bil marik i kedibben en yuhed di tabikulli mesinat. It is sufficient for a person to lie if he merely repeats everything he hears. So, we do not take this Hadith literally, but what the Prophet means is: do not simply pass on everything without verifying it and without doing a fact-check beforehand. Because otherwise, one quickly ends up involved in a lie. And this Hadith is, of course, a bit compressed, but why we can already trust it is because it is backed up by the Quran. So, there is a Quranic evidentiary basis for this Hadith. Here, where the G-Benebbe-Impfete begin. Where it says: "O you who believe, if a wrongdoer comes to you with news, then verify it first." Therefore, this Hadith is to be taken seriously. So, Suleiman, allehissalla, delivers a letter and the return delivery, and he brings it too; all of that is skipped over. Now it continues directly with Belghis, the queen; she says: Yes, Eyo hel mele, inni ulqia eleya kitabum kareen. O you leading Shammi, a noble letter has been thrown to me. Inna hum ins Suleymana wa inna hu bismillahir rahmanir raheem. This is from Suleiman, this writing, and it reads: In the name of Allah, the Alabamas, the Merciful. El le ta aloha aleya wa atuni muslimin, do not be arrogant towards me and come as those who submit to Allah. Muslimin is what it is called here, but here it would be right for the Fassistin. Okay. Number one, we know writings from this time. For example, the, I must say, the Amarna Letters. Okay, this is a diplomatic correspondence between Egyptian pharaohs and Kanaanite kings, that is, those from the Palestinian region. That is approximately 1400 BC, so it is perhaps a bit earlier than Suleiman. Suleiman is probably 1200 BC. We know, we have post and letters and diplomatic letters between kings preserved. And these never begin with "bismillahir rahmanir raheem", but they always begin with "In the name of the king who is the sun, who is the great one, and so on, and who is so good, and who is this conqueror of..." and so on, to the king. And then, of course, depending on how high one estimates the king, whether one considers the king superior and stronger, then, of course, even more flattery is added, saying "the sun god" and "the representative of..." and so on. And if he is lower, then not quite as much is made of it. But there is a very hypocritical and, how do you say, "Messachduch" so, when one... Flattering. Yes, yes, flattering, exactly, thank you. A very flattering intro and a flattering outro again. And this is also a bit remarkable, because they did that on clay tablets and so on. So, they took the trouble to write all of that down. And here we notice, I mean, the Quran certainly gives us this letter in compressed form. But it is very concise and to the point even for the Quran in its description, and in the Hummus to layman. So, compared to the old letters, it says to layman: "You are not, I am the..."
King of the world and ruler over jinn and birds and legions and everything imaginable. But I am simply a layman, truly humble and modest. However, Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. And with this, Sulayman makes it clear where he comes from. He comes from the side that he wants to liberate people from this elitism, from this, which has already begun. We have spoken about this a few times, when people entered civilization, when people entered city founding. With this came the founding of an elite and also domination, that is, the division of people into rulers and the ruled, and so on and so forth. And merely by saying Bismillahirrahmanirrahim and not in the name of a king and so on, this is already a very liberating and revolutionary introduction. Where do these exploitative practices and this system, which we have established, that a small elite in the name of some religion and ideology and whatever else still oppresses people. And they, with help, which we discussed in Alraam, with help of terror instruments such as human sacrifice, force people to stay. And with help of oppression, for example with his soldiers, forcing them under the whip, we no longer accept this. So, we read this today and think, oh yes, Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, as he is a Muslim and as in the Quran, because Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. But we do not make it clear at all what liberating component Bismillahirrahmanirrahim actually has to this day and also what life-orienting component it has. Because we all ourselves, if we consider, we are supposed to actually say Bismillahirrahmanirrahim before every action. That means, I must first check myself and tell myself, perform an introspection, why am I doing what I am doing now? And this introspection alone is already half of one’s own training. Because then one notices what kind of chaos reigns within one, who the actual ruler within one is. One has fears, one has desires, one has arrogance within oneself, one has hidden goals for status, for recognition, for power, and so on. One usually does not look at it that way. One tends to just accept all of this as that is who I am. But if one looks inside, one realizes, that is not me. Those are parts of me that want something or other, and I do not want to treat them as something of mine. I must treat them, I must perhaps somehow. And Bismillahirrahmanirrahim now means, I must teach myself to place my actions under a principle and under a value. If I do something, then I do it. I must somehow connect it with something good. Bismillahirrahmanirrahim makes no sense as long as one has not properly engaged with the name of Allah and also knows some of the names of Allah. Because it is difficult to do something abstract in the name of Allah. But if I for example know that Allah is the Merciful and I do something good where I decide to be merciful with them, then I know, okay, I am doing this in the name of Allah, that is the Merciful. And if I do something where I know, okay, through this my body or my mind or my soul becomes stronger, then I do it in the name of Allah, the Strong. If I know, I do something, I go with my family on a, I take them and make myself the stress and drive with them somewhere to the mountains and have a nice time with them and so on and so on. But for me it of course also means stress and so on. But then I do it, why? Because I want peace and good and beautiful things. I do it in the name of peace, in the name of beauty, in the name of togetherness. In the name of purity, in the name of forgiveness, all these names of Allah, they give us a hint and a perspective and an opening. What can I place under which
Light, under which the prism, so to speak, God’s light, shines upon a prism; the prism is the 99 Names, and under which of these colors I am placing myself today in this action, okay. And the more I succeed in placing my life under these principles and values, the more free I am, the more I myself have control, and no longer my whims and my desires and my fears, above all. It is no coincidence that today is the age of fear, that people are no longer masters of their fear, because one does, and conversely, in the substance, that one confronts this fear and tries to make it smaller, one perhaps even accepts it at some point as something of oneself and well, lacks the foam. This is a quiet topic, but in any case, Bismillahirrahmanirrahim is not just a formula, but is a life motto, whoever does it. For us, we are reading this now in the 21st century and do not read it arrogantly towards me and come as those who submit to Allah. We must know, Solomon stands for a message and he is, he was no unknown. Solomon is the climax of the development of Bnei Israel, the Muslims of that time, and he possesses the maximum expansion of the kingdom, until we come to Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi s.a. Only Muhammad creates a greater kingdom than Solomon, but until then Solomon’s kingdom was a mythical kingdom, on which one has set an example for oneself. I will become a Solomon-like king, or I will become as rich as Solomon, or I will become as rich as Solomon, so one has, he was the standard-bearer so to speak. And when he says this here, he does not mean, yes, submit to me, but come as, normally he would say, hey, I am the most powerful here, I have everything under my control, and I even have invisible beings under my control, whom I can destroy, submit to me or goodbye, just like that, yes? But he does not say that. He says, come to me as those who submit to Allah. And that is something we have somewhat forgotten. Religion and especially Islam, that is not some abstract formalism, where we say, we believe in God, who is just somehow above us and who watches over us and that is a bit like a father and we have to somehow offer him something so that he is pleased with us and then he is on our side and he fulfills our wishes and then everything is fine so to speak. But religion is and Allah is the Creator of the material and the immaterial, he is also the Creator of values and that means Allah represents all good values in their pure perfection, that means to believe in Allah. And to submit to Allah also means to submit to these values that Allah has created, what values has he created for example, he has for example created Al-Hak, the truth. He has said, he will not lie and we should not lie and he has created Al-Misern, that is justice and the scale and the impartiality. He has forbidden himself to be unjust and what is often forgotten is, to be a Muslim means to have submitted to these values as far as possible and to be in harmony with these values. Of course Allah is also a king and we submit to him, as we submit to the greatest of all kings. But that sometimes takes an oversized place, we act as if it were a kind of Superman or something or Zeus or something. So that is an anthropomorphic form, an anthropomorphic view of God. God is the Creator of the material and also of the immaterial and the immaterial in values and principles that he has created. That is also the important thing to which we must submit. Okay, something is forgotten. Good, exactly, we can continue there. Now it becomes interesting. She says, this letter came to me and now she goes with this letter to her advisors and says Yes, I have in the
Remained with the message, but I did not remain with the letter, what I should do with the letter. She says, I remained, but I did not remain with the letter, what I should do with the letter. I do not usually decide on a matter until you are with me in essence. That is interesting. She says, we possess a military force and possess a strong power, yet it is your right to command, so let them do what you command. So, what does the Quran, Queen Bilqis, overall portray in a good light or a bad light? I mean, we have all already read the story briefly. There, she is portrayed in a very good light, and even more so, because she later converts to Islam. So, with that, the Quran says, this woman had something to offer, so to speak. She avoids war now. What would have been typical masculine, aggressive behavior if someone receives a letter that says, do not be arrogant towards me and come to me as those who submit to Allah? Exactly. Or as Manuel would say today, I do this and even more. So, exactly, so masculine arrogance would tend to say, what are we here, who are you anyway, what do you want from us? And we will show you what is going on here. And, and she does not do that. And number two, what does she also do? She says, here, come together, I want your counsel. So, a good leader must seek counsel; seeking counsel is not a weakness. Seeking counsel is a strength. And a good leader consults. At the moment, this also occurs elsewhere in the Quran, because the Quran also explicitly says to the Prophet, but here in this story it is also presented more globally, a good leader. And here the Quran does not speak about religion, which religion she has. And actually, later it never speaks about gender again, a good leader, what does he do, he consults the people. And leads through dialogue and has transparency. And these are all things that we, until today, at which we today, struggling. So, I mean, if we say democracy today, then it is about various aspects. It is not only about someone who, so to speak, wants to misuse democracy for dark purposes and wants to apply democracy only formally, who says, yes, I have voted and now leave me alone here, for example, March, people, we have voted, I have now received a quorum here, I have my mandate and now do not bother me, we must, I will let myself be cooked here, so to speak, yes. But substantive democracy means more than just getting people to, every four years somehow, as one so beautifully says, be a voting sheep, like so much livestock to the ballot box to make their cross. But it is about participation. And it is about enabling people to participate as well. And bad democrats do not do that, so they are actually not really democrats. People who want to apply democracy only formally, they actually do not want to enable people to participate, they like to keep them ignorant and withhold information, no transparency and so on and so forth. And also here, yes, we already live in a somewhat stable democracy and also in a functioning democracy, but not in an ideal democracy. And there are also of course struggles here between the dark side, which, so to speak, pushes us more into the authoritarian and into the bad and into the trust of the elite and I scare the little people and so on, so that they do not question me. And the light side, for example, asks the state the initiative or the one who so fights against corruption or what is this anti-corruption group called here again. So there are a lot of initiatives that advocate for, for example, that they the members of parliament after their
Regularly question side incomes, that they question, yes, they said this and that in their speech two years ago and now they have said this and that, but that is exactly the opposite, it comes together and so on and so forth. And those who strive for transparency to prevail, that no opacities, structures prevail and so on, that dialogue and so on. And that is also something that the Proam recommends to us here and with the example of Belpris says, this is how it is done right. And I mean, from this it follows for the 21st century, where should we engage, for example, if someone has an interest in such things, in political participation or political work or something like that? Yes, exactly in such things. So one can engage with MST International, with Frag den Staat, with all these things that Arne Semstwort and so on do, and with everything that, so to speak, strengthens transparency, dialogue, participation, where one commands people to do something, where one takes people by the hand and makes them autonomous and so on, one can do that, then one should gladly engage. Okay. Good, then we continue. See you again. So, because the advisors pull them in the direction of war and say, hey, yes, no, look, this pulling in the direction of war is also something that happens very easily, because, can you still remember the episode where we talked about group arrogance, about group Nazism, that was part of it, that was also in the context of Firauna, that he was the first to succeed in pitting different groups of people against each other, and how, by pitting their group Nazism, their group arrogance against each other. And why, why is it so easy to get entire societies excited about war? Because I only have to stoke my own arrogance and my own group arrogance. And that is simply something that makes people drool. If I say, we as Germans, and we invented that, and we are the b

Das heißt, was macht Soleil Mann, Alaihissalaam, hier? Und was macht man anstatt dessen heutzutage? Also, exakt, also die männliche Arroganz würde dazu neigen zu sagen, was wir hier, wer bist du überhaupt, was willst du von uns?
