A Thousand Words – September 10 2026
The combination of in-depth Torah study and military service in the IDF is a viable and desirable path for religious young women to live out their identity and responsibility toward the Jewish people.
We are proud to host this first cohort and to help shape a framework in which commitment to Torah and responsibility toward the Jewish people grow side by side.
The text reports on the launch of a new cohort of twelve young women who are beginning a program combining Torah study and military service in the IDF. The participants are taught at Midreshet Lindenbaum and receive support through the Garin Tzabar system. The program, referred to as the 'Garin Tzabar Torani' track, is intended to enable religious young women to connect their commitment to Torah with their responsibility toward the Jewish people. The institution emphasizes that it is proud to host this first group and to shape an appropriate framework. The text commends the women's decision to take this path and describes it as 'remarkable'. They are wished strength, clarity, and further growth for the months ahead. The focus is on creating a community that serves as an anchor while the women prepare for their lives in Israel.
