Allah SWT mentions it throughout the Quran, sometimes just by name and sometimes in detail and description of some of the rewards and the delights of jannah. And likewise the Prophet SAW in numerous hadith, he spoke about jannah and the people of jannah and the many rewards that Allah has prepared for the people of jannah. And that's because the goal of every single one of us, every single believer is to earn the reward of Allah, his pleasure, his mercy Subhanahu wa Ta'ala through worship and tawheed. Allah SWT says in the Quran, No soul knows that which Allah SWT has concealed for it and prepared for it from the delights of the eye. Jazaan bima kanu ya'maloon as a reward for the good that they used to do in this life. And the Prophet SAW in the hadith al-Bukhari and Muslim, Aweb Hurayla radiya Allahu an dar Allah Azza wa Jal says in the hadith al-Qudsi, I act to the Ibadiyah al-Saliheen, Ma la'eenun raat wa la'udunun samiat wa la'khatar ala qalbi bashar. I have prepared Allah says for my righteous slaves that which no eye has seen, no ear has had, no mind or heart can imagine. He told us SAW that he will be the first one in Yomul Qiyama to come to the eight gates of Jannah and to knock on them to seek entrance. And the gatekeeper of Jannah will ask who is it and he will reply, it is Muhammad SAW. And the angel will reply, I was commanded that I should not open these gates for anyone before you, SAW. Eight gates of Jannah, when one of them is opened, the Prophet SAW said that the extent of his threshold will be like the distance of a person travelling from Makkah to a place in the Shamq al-Busrah. And then the believers will enter in droves, in groups. Wa siqa alladheena taqaw rabbahum ilal jannah al-Zumara. The Prophet SAW described the believers as they enter into Jannah and he said that they will be illuminated. The first group from amongst them will shine bright, will be illuminated like the full moon on a clear night. And the second group of believers that will enter into Jannah will be like the brightest star that twinkles in the sky. When the people of Jannah enter into Jannah, they won't urinate, nor will they defecate, nor will they spit, nor will they need to blow their noses. In Jannah all that they will have is delight and pleasure from Allah SWT. Even their sweat was swell of musk. Even the smallest implements that they are given, like the cones, will be made of gold. The incense that they will burn will be from the best aloe wood that one can see or one can imagine. Allah SWT has prepared for the people of Jannah every single delight. The people of Jannah as they enter into Jannah, Allah will purify their hearts. There is no animosity in Jannah, no hatred in Jannah, no arrogance or pride in Jannah, no mutual enmity in Jannah. But the people of Jannah will be like it is a single heart, everyone loving one another. One is a Zana mafi sudoorihim min ghillin ikhwanan ala surur mutaqabineen. And then they will recline upon their thrones and the couches that Allah SWT will give to them. They will be brothers one to another. The Prophet told us, Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, that when the people of Jannah enter into Jannah, as is in the hadith in al-Bukhari and Muslim, or in the hadith in Sahih Muslim of Abu Hurayla, radiAllahu anhu. That Allah SWT commanded that it is called out and announced to the people of Jannah. Inna lakum man tahyu fa la tamutu abada. For you in Jannah is eternal life. Never again shall you experience death. Wa inna lakum man tasihhu fa la tasqamu abada. And for you is eternal good health. Never again will you be sick. Wa inna lakum man tashibbu fa la tahramu abada. And for you is eternal youth. Never again will you grow old. Wa inna lakum anta naamu fa la tabasu abada. And for you is every single delight. Never again will you have the fear of missing out. Wa nudu antinkumu jannahu uridtumuha bima kuntum ta'amaloon. And it will be called out that this is the Jannah that you inherited because of the good deeds that you used to perform. The people of Jannah will enjoy the blessings of Jannah. And because of that which Allah SWT will give to them, the radiance of that which they enjoy will be seen upon their faces. Ta'ali fufi wujuhihim nathurat an na'een. You will see the radiance of that which they enjoy on the faces of the people of Jannah. The Prophet SAW described to us the kingdom of the people of Jannah. Because every single person in Jannah, they get their own kingdom. And their kingdom is so vast that even though the Prophet SAW said that when the people are resurrected on Yom ul Qiyamah they will be resurrected in the original form that their father Adam SAW was first created. 60 cubits of height, 60 cubits of height will be there how tall they are. And despite that you will not be able to see the end of your kingdom. It will be beyond your vision. That is how vast the single kingdom is in Jannah. The Prophet SAW said that the people of Jannah will be given palaces and they will be given homes and they will be given tents in which to reside. He said SAW that there are palaces in Jannah that are transparent. If you stand inside them you can see what is outside. And if you stand outside them you can see that which is within. And other structures of Jannah where there are alternating bricks of gold and silver. Their mortar is the best, most sweet smelling fragrance. He said SAW that the pebbles that will surround these homes will be of rubies and pearls and the soil will be of Za'faran, of saffron. He said SAW the believer is given a tent. Its height is 60 miles into the sky and it is like a hollowed out pearl. If you were to stand on one side of it you wouldn't be able to see the other side. So even though you may have multiple families, servants and others, if you are in one place no one else will intrude upon your privacy. And then he also described to SAW the food of the people of Jannah and the rivers of the people of Jannah. Allah SWT says that there are four rivers of Jannah. A river of cool water and a river of milk that never goes foul and a river of wine that doesn't intoxicate and a river of pure honey. That is what Allah SWT has prepared. And then in addition to this other drinks, you will be given a seal nectar that even the dredges, the end of that drink will be as delightful as the first sip that they take. The people of Jannah when they are into Jannah, the tree of Jannah, just one tree as the Prophet told SAW is shade is so expansive and that tree is so great that if a fast rider was to ride for a hundred years they wouldn't meet the end of that tree, a single tree. Yet despite this when the people of Jannah are reclining upon their thrones and sitting upon their couches they will be able to take from the fruit without having to stand up. Qutufuha Daniya. Daniya Tan Aleyhimu Zilaluhah. Wadul Lila Qutufuha Tadlila. Its branches will hang low and they will be able to take from the fruit without having any difficulty in having to get up. Allah SWT will give to them every fruit and every fruit that they seek. Wa Fakihati Minma Yatakhyarun. Wa Lahmi Tairi Minma Yashtahon. They will take from the fruit that which they choose and from the meats of the birds that which they desire. Allah will give to them and Allah SWT will make sure that they are happy pleased and satisfied. The Prophet SAW told us that just a single handspan in Jannah is better than everything else in this world. And just a single possession from the possessions of Jannah is better than this world and everything within it. He said, SAW, Wa Laqabu Qawsi A'hadikum Fil Jannah. Qayrum Minma Tal'at Aleyhi Shamsu A'utaghrub. In the Hadith in Al-Bukhari that just the place where one of you used to put down his bow that he shoots with is better than everything that this whole dunya that the sun rises upon or sets upon. And he said, SAW, I am describing the women of Jannah. Wa La Nasifuha A'la Raasihah. Qayrum Minna Dunya Wa Ma Fiha. That one of the women of Jannah, the scarf that she wears, it is better than this world and everything within it. And then there are so many more. So many more rewards that Allah SWT has prepared. Too much for me to go into in terms of its detail. In the Hadith in Sahih Muslim, on the authority of Al-Mughirah, Ibn Shu'aba, that he said that the Prophet SAW was send him, that the Messenger of Allah, SAW, Master of Lord, described to me the reward of the least of the people of Jannah. The one that has the least reward in Jannah. So Allah SWT said to him, oh Musa, it is that person that will be the final one to leave the fire. And we will tell him to go and enter into Jannah. But as he comes to the gates of Jannah, it will appear to him that Jannah is formed. There is no space left in Jannah because of everyone that has preceded him. And everyone has taken their places and their kingdoms. And everyone has taken from their delights and the bounties and the blessings of Jannah. So the man will say, oh Allah, there is nothing left for me. Because you gave it to everyone else before me. So Allah SWT will say to him, a tarda an yakuuna laka mitlu mulki malakil mil muluki dunya. Would you be happy, satisfied if you were to take the kingdom, like the kingdom of one of the rulers that this world used to have. And he will say, yes of Allah, that's more than enough. It's amazing to have the extent of a kingdom of one of the kings of the dunya. So Allah will say to him, laka haddik, for you is that. Wamithluhu, Wamithluhu, Wamithluhu, Wamithluhu. And you will have five times more than that. So the man will say, I am pleased. So Allah will then say to him, Subhanahu wa ta'ala, rather you will have this ten times even more. In the other hadith the Prophet said, that this man that is the final of the people turned to Jannah. He will have the least reward of the inhabitants of Jannah. When he enters into Jannah, he will think that there is no one better than him. No one has more than him. No one was honored by Allah SWT greater than he was honored. And he will be the least of them in reward. In the hadith of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri and al-Bukhari and al-Nuslim, the Prophet said, Allah SWT will announce to the people of Jannah and he will say to them, Araditum, are you happy? Are you pleased? Are you satisfied? And they will reply, why wouldn't we be satisfied? When you have given to us the rewards of that which you gave to no other of your creation. So Allah SWT will say to them, give you something even better than this, even greater than this. And they will say, what can be possibly better than this? So Allah SWT will say to them, I will give to you my eternal pleasure. Never again will I ever be displeased with you. And in the hadith of Jaleer ibn Abdullah al-Bajri radiya Allah, in the Tafseer of the verse of the Quran, Masha'Allah, says, for the people of Jannah, is the reward of Jannah. Because of the good that they did, Allah will reward them with goodness and he will give them something more. Allah SWT will give them something more. And he will say to them, Allah SWT will give them something more. Jaleer radiya Allah, said that we were sitting with the Prophet SAW on a night when the moon was full on a clear night. And he said to SAW, Inna cum satarona rabbakum aiyana Kamatarona haadal kamar Laatudaruna firuiyatih You will see your Lord with your naked eye just as you see this full moon and you won't just have to push with anyone else in order to be able to see him. Wujuhun yawma idinnaadirah ila rabbihanaadirah Allah SWT says that their faces will be radiant when they look upon their Lord. In the Hadith of Tirmidhi on the authority of Sohibar Rumi, radiya Allah, that the Prophet told SAW, that the people of Jannah will be called upon and they will be said to them, Inna lakum inna Allahi mawida You read when you need zakumur you have with your Lord an appointment that Allah SWT wants to fulfill for you. So they will say and what is possibly left alam yuthuqil mawazeenana wa yubayyid wujuhana wa yidkhilinna l-jannah wa yuzahzihna aninnaar has not Allah already made our scales of good deeds heavy, did not already illuminate our faces, has not already granted us admittance into Jannah did not already save us from the fire what is possibly left so Allah SWT will remove the veil that separates him and them and they will look on the face of their Lord and they will not have received a reward in Jannah that is more beloved to them than that reward of seeing the face of their Lord it is for this reason that Allah SWT says in one of the passages where he describes the rewards of Jannah wa fidhadi kafalya tanafasin mutanafisoon it is for this that those who wish to compete should compete barakallahu li walakum fi l-Qur'an wa sunnah wa nafaa'ani wa yaakum ima fihim ima min al-ayati wa hikmah I say this and I ask forgiveness of Allah wa lakum wa l-jam'id al-muslimina min kulli dhammin wa astaghfiruh Alhamdulillahi wa salatu wa salamu wa ala Rasulillahi wa ala'ali wa sahbihi wa manwa la wa salamat as-seeman kathira amma ba'a Allah SWT tells us throughout the Quran that this reward is for the believers it is there that Allah SWT often it is that which Allah SWT has made as a trade has purchased from the believers their lives, their wealth, their sacrifice in order for them to receive this reward of Allah SWT and we didn't have the time in this khutba, the short space of time to go extensively into all of the many many rewards of jannah and the details in which they are mentioned Allah SWT described to us what houses the people that are deserving of this reward Inna alladhi na qalu rabbun allahu thumm astaqamu tatalazdal wa areehimu al-malaiqa Alla taqafu wa la tahzanu say that our Lord is Allah and then they remain steadfast upon it steadfast, they are going to wake up and they are going to pray fajr they are going to pray their 5 daily salat they are going to give their zakah they are going to fast the month of Ramadan they are going to honor their parents and respect their neighbors they are going to speak the truth and be people of honesty and trustworthiness they are going to stay away from the major sins and the minor sins to the best of their ability they are going to be upright upon this it is upon those people that the angels will descend and they will say to them you have no need to fear, no despair wa abshiro bil jannahil lati kuntum tu'adun rather have glad tidings of the jannah that you were promised the reason for which you did what you did the iman that you had the actions that you performed the sacrifices that you made the patience that you displayed that is the jannah that you were promised nahanu awliya'ukum fil hayatil dunya wa fil akhirah and we are your guardians in this life and in the next wa lakum fiha maa tashtahi an fusukum for that reward of jannah in it you have that with your hearts and souls desire wa lakum fiha maa tada'un and you will have everything that you ask for and request nuzulam min ghafoori ar-raheem that is the honor, the reward of the one that is all forgiving most merciful ila maafira timma rabbikum wa jannahin ka'aarduha ka'arduha the samayi wa al-ar'u wa iddhaat li'l ladina aamanu bil lahi wa rusulih and that jannah that Allah has prepared is the expanse the expanse of the heavens and the earth it is prepared for those who believe in Allah and they believe in His messengers we ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala that He makes us from amongst those people Allahumma inna nasaluka al-jannahwa maqarrabi ileyha min qawlin wa amal wa naozu bika min annali wa maqarrabi ileyha min qawlin wa amal Allahumma inna nasaluka muwajibati This recording was produced by Green Lane Mustard.
