The community of believers is united through mutual brotherhood, humility, and shared prayer, and the story of Moses and the magicians shows that true insight leads to repentance even under pressure.
The text is a transcription of a Tarawih prayer at the El-Fath Mosque in Offenbach on the 19th night of Ramadan. It contains the usual prayer formulas, the call to prayer, and instructions to straighten the rows and follow the imam. Between the prayer units, Quranic passages are recited, including verses on brotherhood, avoiding suspicion and slander, and on the equality of all people before God. A central section tells the story of Moses and Pharaoh, including the confrontation with the magicians and the flight of the Children of Israel. The imam gives practical instructions on the performance of the prayer, such as the correct hand position during bowing and the speed of the imam. The text combines ritual practice with ethical admonitions and biblical-Quranic narrative.

Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah. I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. Hurry to prayer. Hurry to success. The prayer has begun. The prayer has begun. Allah is the Greatest. There is no god but Allah. Stand in rows. Straighten your rows. Fill in the gaps. Whoever finds a space, let him fill it. Your brothers are waiting in the back rows. And when the mosque is full, may Allah bless you. There is a prayer hall upstairs for the men. May Allah reward you. May Allah reward you with good. And be patient and have mercy on your brothers. It is but a few moments. May Allah bless you. Allah is the Greatest. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. The Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate. Master of the Day of Judgment. You alone we worship, and You alone we ask for help. Guide us to the straight path. The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have earned Your anger or of those who are astray. Amen. The believers are but brothers, so make settlement between your brothers. And fear Allah that you may receive mercy. O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them. Nor [let] women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one another and do not call one another by [offensive] nicknames. Wicked is the name of fasq after [one's] belief. And whoever does not repent—then it is those who are the wrongdoers. Allah is the Greatest. Allah has heard the one who praises Him. Allah is the Greatest. Allah is the Greatest. Allah is the Greatest. Allah is the Greatest. Amen. O you who have believed, avoid much [negative] assumption. Indeed, some assumption is sin. And do not spy or backbite each other. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his brother while he is dead? You would detest it. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is Accepting of repentance and Merciful. O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the noblest of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, the noblest of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Aware. Allah is the Greatest. Allah has heard the one who praises Him. Allah is the Greatest. Allah is the Greatest. Allah is the Greatest. Allah is the Greatest. Allah is the Greatest. Allah has heard the one who praises Him. Allah is the Greatest. Allah is the Greatest. Allah is the Greatest. Allah is the Greatest. Allah is the Greatest. Allah has heard the one who praises Him. Allah is the Greatest. Allah is the Greatest. Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah. Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah. I seek forgiveness. A greeting for the Tarawih prayer. May Allah bless you and do well by you. And turn off your phones so that you do not disturb the worshippers, nor the angels present with us. O Allah, amen. And let some people be mindful of delaying in raising their heads from prostration or in moving after the imam. They delay, and perhaps some times the imams in the Tarawih prayer, perhaps some imams hasten, and a rak'ah is missed or a prostration is missed, and this is a pillar of the pillars of prayer. So the person should follow the imam as soon as the imam says "Allah is the Greatest." Follow the imam. Do not sit there. What do you say when you are alone? Then it is long, but when the imam raises [his head], then raise [yours]. The deeds of the imam—indeed, the imam was made to be followed. And some people spread their arms in prostration, and this is a matter the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade. It is like the sitting of a dog. The dog is the one who spreads his arms when he sits, but the person raises his hands. He does not harm his brothers, but he raises them from the ground, God willing. May Allah bless you. Be mindful. A quarter of the people delay in prostration. And the imams, you see, for example, they sit, and the sitting between the two prostrations, especially the sitting between the two prostrations, is long. Perhaps we are in doubt. The imam delays, and the imam, the obligatory pillar, the imam says "Allah is the Greatest," the obligatory, and complete the obligatory. May Allah bless you and do well by you. And arise to your prayer. May Allah have mercy on you. Amen. Those are the verses of the clear Book. Perhaps you would kill yourself if they did not become believers. If We willed, We would send down upon them from the sky a sign, and their necks would remain humbled before it. And there does not come to them a reminder from the Most Merciful, renewed, but they are of it turning away. So they denied; then will come to them the news of what they used to mock. Have they not looked at the earth? How many varieties of every noble kind We have produced therein? Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not believers. And your Lord is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. Allah is the Greatest. Allah has heard the one who praises Him. Allah is the Greatest. Allah is the Greatest. Allah is the Greatest. Allah is the Greatest. Allah is the Greatest. Amen. And when your Lord called Moses, "Go to the wrongdoing people, the people of Pharaoh—will they not fear Allah?" He said, "My Lord, indeed I fear that they will deny me and that my chest will become constrained and my tongue will not be fluent, so send to Harun. And I have a crime that I have committed, so I fear that they will kill me." He said, "No, so go, both of you, with Our signs; We are with you, listening. So go to Pharaoh and say, 'We are the messengers of the Lord of the worlds. That we bring with us the Children of Israel.'" He said, "Did We not raise you among us as a child, and you spent a number of years in our [land]? And you did that deed which you did, and you were of the ungrateful?" He said, "I did it when [I was] of the unaware. And I fled from you when I feared you; then my Lord gave me wisdom and made me a messenger. And that is a favor You bestowed upon me when You made the Children of Israel successors." Pharaoh said, "And who is the Lord of the worlds?" Pharaoh said, "And who is the Lord of the worlds?" He said, "Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, if you should be certain." He said to those around him, "Do you not hear?" He said, "Your Lord
And your first ancestors, God is the Greatest. God has heard the one who praises Him. God is the Greatest. God is the Greatest. God is the Greatest. Peace be upon you and the mercy of God. Peace be upon you and the mercy of God is the Greatest. Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate, the Compassionate, Master of the Day of Judgment. You alone we worship and You alone we ask for help. Guide us to the straight path, the path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have earned Your anger or of those who are astray. Amen. He said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your first ancestors." He said: "Your messenger who has been sent to you is a madman." He said: "The Lord of the East and the West and what is between them, if you but had sense." He said: "If you take any god besides Me, I will surely make you among those who are imprisoned." He said: "Or have you come to us with something clear?" He said: "Bring it, if you are among the truthful." So he cast his staff, and behold, it was a clear serpent. And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to the onlookers. He said to the assembly around him: "This is a skilled sorcerer. He wants to drive you out of your land with his sorcery. So what do you command?" They said: "Postpone him and his brother, and send into the cities collectors, who will bring to you every skilled sorcerer." So the sorcerers were gathered for the appointed day of a specified day. And it was said to the people: "Are you not gathering?" And it was said to the people: "Are you not gathering? Perhaps we may follow the sorcerers if they are the prevailing. Perhaps we may follow the sorcerers if they are the prevailing. Perhaps we may follow the sorcerers if they are the prevailing." So when the sorcerers came, they said to Pharaoh: "Will we surely have a reward if we are the prevailing?" He said: "Yes, and you will then be among those brought near." He said to them: Moses said: "Cast what you are going to cast." God is the Greatest. God has heard the one who praises Him. God is the Greatest. God is the Greatest. God is the Greatest. Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate, Master of the Day of Judgment. You alone we worship and You alone we ask for help. Guide us to the straight path, the path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have earned Your anger or of those who are astray. Amen. So they cast their ropes and their staffs, and they said: "By the might of Pharaoh, we are surely the prevailing." So they cast their ropes and their staffs, and they said: "By the might of Pharaoh, we are surely the prevailing." He said to them: Moses said: So he cast. So the sorcerers fell prostrating. He cast his staff, and behold, it was swallowing what they fabricated. He cast his staff, and behold, it was swallowing what they fabricated. So the sorcerers fell prostrating. They said: "We believe in the Lord of the worlds, the Lord of Moses and Aaron." He said: "Did you believe in him before I gave you permission? Indeed, he is your leader who taught you sorcery, so you are going to know. I will surely cut off your hands and your feet in opposition, and I will surely crucify you all." They said: "No harm. We are returning to our Lord. We hope that our Lord will forgive us our sins, as we were the first to believe." God. God has heard the one who praises Him. God is the Greatest. God is the Greatest. God is the Greatest. God is the Greatest. Peace be upon you and the mercy of God. Peace be upon you and the mercy of God is the Greatest. Amen. They said: "No harm. We are returning to our Lord. We hope that our Lord will forgive us our sins, as we were the first to believe." And We revealed to Moses: "Travel by night with My servants. Indeed, you will be pursued." So Pharaoh sent into the cities collectors: "Indeed, these are a small group. And indeed, they are causing us great annoyance, and we are, for all of it, cautious." So We took them out of gardens and springs and treasures and noble place. Thus, and We gave it in inheritance to the Children of Israel. So they followed them at sunrise. So when the two groups saw each other, the companions of Moses said: "We are surely overtaken." He said: "No. Indeed, with me is my Lord; He will guide me." God. Glory be to God, the one who praises Him. God. God is the Greatest. God. Amen. So We revealed to Moses: "Strike with your staff the sea, and it split, and each division was like a great mountain. And We brought the others near. And We saved Moses and those with him, all of them. Then We drowned the others. Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not believers. Indeed, your Lord, He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful." And recite to them the news of Abraham, when he said to his father and his people: "What is it that you worship?" They said: "We worship idols, and we remain for them constantly devoted." He said: "Do they hear you when you invoke them, or benefit you or harm?" They said: "Rather, we found our fathers thus doing." He said: "Then have you considered what you were worshipping, you and your forefathers before? You and your forefathers before. Then they are an enemy to me, except the Lord of the worlds, who created me, and He will guide me. And who it is who feeds me and gives me drink. And when I am ill, it is He who cures me. And who will cause me to die and then bring me out [to life]." God. God has heard the one who praises Him. God is the Greatest. God is the Greatest. God. God. Peace be upon you and the mercy of God. Peace be upon you and the mercy of God is the Greatest. Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate, Master of the Day of Judgment. You alone we worship and You alone we ask for help. And who it is who feeds me and gives me drink. And when I am ill, it is He who cures me. And who will cause me to die and then bring me out [to life]. And who I hope will forgive me my sin on the Day of Judgment." My Lord, grant me wisdom and join me with the righteous. And make for me a truthful tongue among the later generations. And make me one of the inheritors of the Garden of Pleasure. And forgive my father, indeed he was of those astray. And do not humiliate me on the Day they are resurrected, the Day when wealth and children will not benefit, except one who comes to God with a sound heart. And the Garden will be brought near for the righteous. God. God has heard the one who praises Him. God. God is the Greatest. God is the Greatest. God is the Greatest. Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate, Master of the Day

And Paradise will be brought near to the righteous, and Hell will be brought near to the wretched. And it will be said to them, "Where are those you used to worship besides Allah? Can they benefit you or help yourselves?" So they will be cast into it, they and the wretched, and the hosts of Iblis, all of them. They will say, while they are therein contending, "O Allah, indeed we were in clear misguidance when we made you equal with the Lord of the worlds. And it was not the criminals who mislead us, except the criminals. So we have no intercessors, nor a close friend. So if only we had a return, we would be of the believers." Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not believers. And indeed, your Lord is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. The people of Noah denied the messengers when their brother Noah said to them, "Will you not fear [Allah]? Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. So fear Allah and obey me. And I ask you for no compensation for it; my compensation is only from the Lord of the worlds. So fear Allah and obey me." They said, "Should we believe in you while the most lowly of us follow you?" He said, "And what is my knowledge of what they used to do? Their account is only with my Lord, if you only knew. And I am not, [O people], to dismiss the believers. I am not but a clear warner." They said, "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will surely be among those who are stoned."
