Those who do not prepare themselves in response to warnings of coming dangers and who give themselves over to sensuality will lose out when those dangers arrive; those who live in heedfulness and humility save themselves and their possessions.
The text tells a Jātaka-like story about people in a fertile valley who stand between two divine warnings: one announces a great flood, the other reassures and promises protection. Two groups react differently: one lives in sensuality, pleasure, and adornment, the other in humility, tool-making, and preparation. The text derives from this the central question of heedlessness versus heedfulness and applies it to listening to Dhamma talks. It emphasizes that one should develop a shared perspective when listening and internalize the story as a life lesson. In reference to the present, it points to social and political confusion caused by contradictory opinions. The text advises not to follow only what is comfortable, but to prepare oneself, so that one survives when difficulties come.

There are people who come to listen to the story of the flood. "Oh, the water is going to flood..." "Starch fall?" The people in the circle do not listen... They do not believe that the water will flood. They say, "Prepare, prepare. Take your things to high ground. Store your belongings in various places where they can be preserved. Because when the real time comes, when the flood occurs, those who are careless and have not prepared anything—oh, they lose everything, lose some of their possessions, and even lose their lives. As for those who have prepared, they do not lose their possessions and can even preserve their lives. How different their ways of thinking are! These two groups are happy to welcome the situation of the era of the Thai crisis, with the morning news program. It is a way of opening up to a new day, giving the heart a great deal of attention by looking for values in the moments of the Jataka tales and the moments of Dhamma that will allow us to understand deeply, changing our way of thinking to be a lesson of life. Why is it that the "moving moment" allows us to see the world and ourselves again with eyes composed of wisdom? They say that the "moving moment" refers to things that come before, the events that arise before something important, in some way or another, seems to happen. What is it that changes first? Here, I ask: How did the peak point reach this point? The peak point may be a good thing, or a bad thing, or something like, "Oh, loss, destruction, there are problems, it may even lead to the loss of life, the loss of various things, or a good thing that brings about success." Whatever that thing is, it has a position. Wherever it is, it will support and indicate information, both for those who see it and for those who predict it. In any case, belief in listening is what we rely on. We will have a dimension to see and hear. If we quickly understand and create this kind of framework, the first dimension of the story, the character of the story—who did what, where, how, with whom—is the What, Where, When, Why, How, Who. It is a story. In the dimension of the story, there are stories that are sometimes animals, sometimes people, sometimes deities. It is very diverse. We will take the person or animal in that particular story to serve as a representative of one of the virtues. If we compare it to a tailor who stitches, we might explain about carelessness, fear, or not keeping one's word. While the tailor is coming, before that, we will compare it to the speed, the quickness, the skill of the craftsman. We will take the matter of patience, the character of greatness, the slowness, the new appearance. This is what we will get from listening. This dimension of listening relies on us, so we must come to the forest. Tell anyone who wants to listen. It is not just listening and then letting it go in one ear and out the other, drifting away. Let it stay inside. Therefore, we must grasp the breath. Which breath? The breath that will arise here is the matter of heedfulness or heedlessness. What is it that has never arisen? Not at all. Have you ever encountered it? Because, at the point of the water, the heart is like this. The hand moves, there is a movement. It is a cultural noon. It is worth mentioning. If this kind of thing is lent, it is indeed lent. In the matter of heedlessness or heedfulness, how can we be sure? Will it be right, or will it be wrong? How will we have a method to decide? This matter is brief. There are two main points that will explain to us so that we understand this kind of situation. First, it is the matter of the craftsmen who went to Thailand. The title must be true: The Eternal Sea Jataka. It is a story about a merchant in Thailand. But looking at it, the beginning has no clear opposition at all. There are only the craftsmen. How do they follow? There are internships of the matter in the mind of heedlessness and heedlessness. This can bring about three keys of virtue that cause fear. Researchers can bring about understanding, cause a sense of non-PEPA, a homage to the production of psychologists. It is an instant. When it becomes a distortion, a book, a layer of self, it is easy to interpret and understand. It is easy. If it is combined, it is easy. Then, the question is: How to wash it off? Then, the question is: How to force it? The first action is to complain. The receiver comes to work. Oh, this show, I don't know what to say. Oh, it is all gone. I can't find it either. I can't complain to anyone. It is gone. Where did it go? These craftsmen, they left the forest, went to the sea, went to Canada. How did they go? It is okay. Then, when they go, they must continue on the boat. They went on the boat. They are the destination. The boat came. Then we got on the boat and went to the shore. We were asleep! There are many different feelings. Part of it is laughter. It is the word of the Buddha. The tree.
The mango trees, jackfruit trees, papaya trees, and guava trees, along with wild rice, sugarcane, and other plants that have grown naturally, are present. Wow! It is a place of great abundance. This indicates that there is water and good soil. I thought this place would be barren, but upon arriving here, I saw, Oh! There is such abundant food. We have been eating and drinking freely for several months. And since I have been living alone, I have become somewhat lazy and have not taken care of or maintained the condition of the fields. Why do the newly arrived carpenters think that this is a group? This group is on one side, and the body of this group is on the other side. They manage their affairs accordingly. There is a group that tends to have a habit of being easily offended by taste, dislikes conflict or arguments, loves food, and enjoys comfort. Their thoughts, words, and actions follow a certain pattern. When they enter, they tend to lean towards the direction of wanting to decorate their vehicles, making them beautiful and magnificent. So, first of all, they take the wild rice and make a porridge. They use the wild rice and the sugarcane juice that is on the top of the hill, and they simply mix it. Why wait? Then we choose and select whatever we want, taking it from the earth, bringing it to decorate and try it out. Because they have thoughts, words, and actions in that direction, leaning towards sensual pleasures. As for those who do not think in terms of sensual pleasures, they may come to think about making tools, or about methods of catching fish, or about developing their living area. So, where does the mind go? We can hear this. After hearing, we observe the actions and way of life of the two villages that reside in that area. The actions and way of life of the two villages that reside in that area show that those who lean towards sensual pleasures will think and plan to create conditions that bring happiness to both the eyes and the ears. Those who do not lean towards sensual pleasures, or who lean in the opposite direction, they also create and use the tools that are present. There is training to generate wisdom, to remain in a state of non-attachment, thinking in that manner. Sometimes, occasionally, they meet each other. They say, "I have food to eat. I can make food like this. I make and decorate these things, making them magnificent." Those who lean towards sensual pleasures, towards vehicles, meet with those who show off. Right? As for those who lean towards the non-sensual path, they have various tools and implements. That is, they do not come to show off with appointments. They simply use them in their monastic life. They have different patterns of thought and work, each in their own way. Here, once the time passes, in this place, due to the food and meals that are made, which cause the first group to become careless. After eating, they become negligent and start singing, dancing, and moving around. When they start moving around, at the time of the approaching flood, they will continue to sing, dance, and move around, without paying attention to the flood, without making things orderly. There is no first group. Therefore, it is determined that on the day of the next song, on the 15th, the full moon will rise fully here. The water will rise to its highest level. Then, they will take all this water to wash and clean this area thoroughly, including the entire area of the approaching flood. It will sweep everything away. And it is said that it is a flood for humans. And due to the cause, they create happiness and confusion. Why do they press? They do not need to be so close, deceiving each other. And it is only a small part, not the majority. Let us proceed to remind. One of the devas went to remind the humans. There are many devas. There is light. It can be seen. Standing on the earth, there are beautiful physical matters. That is, they are not sleeping here. And then they let it be known that it is a reminder. And they come to remind that, "This is a great flood. In these five days, there will be a major flood. You should find another place to stay, because fire will break out. This place will be flooded, and animals will come in. Everything will be destroyed, everything will be ruined, certainly. Because these many devas will cause both the flood and the fire, creating confusion. Once the flood comes, they will disappear. As for the remaining devas, they listen to the instructions. Because these devas must command the beings here to finish their tasks. It is no longer possible to just come and remind in this manner. Therefore, this is a lesson to know and understand that the first deva came to say, "Oh, you will be afraid of what? You do not need to be afraid of this flood. It has never flooded here. Look, the sugarcane, the jackfruit, the mango trees, they have grown like this because it is abundant. There is rice, there is water, there is enough, there are no storms. It has never flooded before. You can rest easy. Living here, you can still rest easy. Do not worry. Do not be afraid. We will protect you. We will take care of that. Do not be afraid. Do not worry. It is fine. Listen. Receive the words of the devas from one side, and the words of the devas from this lower side. Immediately, what will happen? What will happen? Certainly, there are people thinking in both ways. But here, we are discussing the Naga. They say that on the 15th, almost tomorrow, the 15th will rise. Warriors, heavy session. The water will flood. It is not a lie. Is there any place that has come? Yes, there is. This one that we prepared. They say the water will flood. It has already come. Oh, it is scary! Heavy, owned, learn. Ah, they say it will not flood. But this deva is the 49th, and it seems to be like a scientist. Scientists are very good because they have two perspectives. One group says, "It might be a bag, and the water can be seen." Another group says, "It is not that way. It might be like this." I want to be two. That is very few. Destroying. There are enemies as well. Because, oh.
The most confusing part. The question is: once we find ourselves in this kind of situation, having received and listened to the news, this is a common topic of study that has been discussed many times. There are two aspects to consider. On one hand, we are afraid and drifting along. But regarding social and political matters, what will you do? Will you believe it or not? When you hear this about the situation in our world, today it is truly like this in every single matter. The confusion over the character of the Buddha, the confusion over the teachings, but there are some lineages that have begun to become prominent, those with wisdom are good. The lineage itself has many types, like this lineage of the Buddha. One group says, "Oh, that is not at all correct, it must be like this..." Oh! There are many different views. Hey, what are we doing? If we listen, once we have listened to this point, we should immediately think back to 2102, when we made a decision at that time regarding what has passed. And truly, how should we make a decision? How should we decide in the way it should be? Here at Noodles, when it comes up, it is like being very Frank, the method of the person, the person's Muchra. Hmm, Google application, counting in love, which, no matter which side it comes from, has no front, meaning it brings peace of mind. If the water does not flood, there is no need to go further, staying here is fine, there is something to eat, it is comfortable. If the water floods, I survive, I am not swept away by the flood. There is still a place to stand, to reach. If the water is truly deep, with this color, I go to the shore with it. He therefore maintains this color every time. We have gathered at the house here, and we also maintain this color correctly. There is right conduct in body, in speech, and in mind. I do this, no matter which side it comes from, they are all at ease. But in the outer world, looking from the opposite angle, listening, if it is right conduct in listening, I eat well, taking the color, drinking, eating and drinking well. That is, you have an increase, an abundance. Is this the current situation? If the water is truly deep, these things go to the shore, where you are low, it is low, huppy, huppy, that is covering the smell, bringing happiness to the front, to the path, to the ears, to cover the smell, the confusion of the mind, the worry of the mind, the lack of peace of mind, because of the teaching, to keep it. If the water is truly deep, with these things, there will be no need to worry, I will be worried, doing it easily, what to do, eat first, drink together. Happiness comes to cover and hide the worry, this is the cause, because you have used it to cover and hide the smell of worry. But if a person is wise, no matter which way it comes out, they say they have gained everything, often, often having wisdom in the five aggregates, it is a path for happiness in the present, and in the time to come, to come, it is already good, the path is already set, for the benefit of both sides, no matter which side it comes from, you will definitely win, you will definitely be at ease. But in this approximation, it is taking pleasure to fight, to hide the suffering. We think back to the Dhamma, the practice, perhaps, the Dhamma, I think it is the matter of the Dhamma, it is perhaps the matter of investment, or perhaps the matter of the land of the silii, or perhaps the matter of the military, it will have an aspect like this, the Rock world, speaking of which, when the 15th day comes, the day of pleasure, the Dhamma, 'come, come, come, eat and drink to
