Bhagavad Gita 18. Chapter 52. The verse: Veviktassevilakvya siyatavakaya manasaha dhyanayoga parodhnytyam vairakhyam samu pashvithah Dwelling in solitude, moderate in diet, with mastery over speech, body, and mind, always engaged in meditation and concentration, and passionless. This is the middle verse of the three phases, as Krishna describes how a person who has reached a certain degree of perfection comes to the highest, to the highest realization. Dwelling in solitude. This expression has several meanings. On the one hand, it means that you are aware, yes, ultimately I am alone. Even if I am with other people, even if it is beautiful to have interpersonal love. The highest realization I must achieve alone. But alone also contains all-unity. That is, in truth I am one with all. That also means, do not make your highest happiness dependent on others. So many people think, consciously or unconsciously, yes, I would achieve the highest. But unfortunately, my partner makes me restless. Unfortunately, my children do not let me come to rest. Unfortunately, my employer wants too much from me. My colleagues are impertinent. The customers are quite impertinent. I would achieve the highest, if. Dwelling in solitude means, you know, your happiness does not depend on other people. At least not mainly on other people. You can practice yourself. Dwelling in solitude has a second background. Namely for the spiritual practice itself. When you meditate, then meditate alone. Do not let yourself be disturbed by dog, by cat, by the shouting of your children. Do not let yourself be disturbed by the television set, of your teenagers or of your neighbors. Do not let yourself be disturbed by car and so on. When you meditate, then you are alone for yourself. Alone with yourself and with God. All-unity. Moderate in diet, he describes here. Diet also has an influence on your mind. Moderate in diet means, how much you eat and what you eat. Another place he has spoken of Sattvic diet. Moderate in diet of course also means that you eat Sattvic. And if you want to experience the All-Unity, then of course it also means that you do not kill anyone. That you eat vegetarian, best of all even vegan. That you also express unity in your diet. Moderate also means that you pay attention, it is healthy and conducive to your meditation, not too much, not too little. Mastery over speech, body, and mind. Pay attention to how you speak. Speak so that unity, love, and truthfulness comes. Mastery over the body. Asanas are very helpful. Regular body exercises. This way you make the body into an instrument. This way you let the body become the seat of the soul. Ultimately the body is the temple of the soul. And you can make the body into a worthy temple of the soul by practicing your asanas. Mastery over the mind, over thinking. A great area, which he at the other place has also already described. Always engaged in meditation and concentration. Always means that you align your life so that you can meditate. That you can align your life so that you concentrate on the Highest. When you have important decisions to make, always also consider, among the decisions I can make, which decision would be conducive to my spiritual progress. Do not only ask what I like and what is beautiful and what comes to my mind and what is now the most exciting. But ask yourself, what of the alternatives I have for the decision, is conducive to my spiritual growth. That is, always engaged in meditation and concentration. When you consider where you live, ask yourself, what is helpful for meditation, for concentration, for spiritual progress. When you consider which
The workplace you have, you can consider which workplace will be helpful for my Spürröteler development. If you want to decide about everything in your life, also consider what is conducive to meditation and concentration. Of course it means, if you want Spürrötel to grow, you must meditate every day. Don't make excuses now and say, I am quite conscious during the day and I breathe consciously and I look up at the sky from time to time. If I am friendly to a person, then that is also meditation. It is good to do all these things, but you must meditate every day. If you want to come to the Highest, daily meditation is the A and O. Also consider right now, are the circumstances you are in conducive to meditation or could you change something? Do you really meditate every day? Have you become somewhat negligent lately? Then make up your mind from today or at the latest from tomorrow to meditate regularly again. And then consider, am I really fully engaged in meditation? Or when I sit down and meditate, then I think about all kinds of things. Make the resolve from today or at the latest from tomorrow, when I meditate, I want to meditate fully with my whole mind. That was it for today. My name is Sukadev. Bhagavad Gita 18. In Einsamkeit, weilend. All eins. Bist du in letzter Zeit etwas nachlässig geworden?
