The preservation of the Greek Orthodox cultural and religious heritage is a shared obligation that extends beyond one's own community to include co-religious peoples and must confront secularization as a challenge.

As Orthodox and as Greeks, we are obliged to meet the co-religious Gagauz who live there with the love of Christ, for historically at least the shared destiny wanted that we

The text is a collection of articles and programme descriptions from the portal «Ελλ-οινικός Πολιτισμός» on the topic of cultural heritage and tradition. At its centre is the documentation and transmission of the intangible cultural heritage of the Hellenes, in particular folk songs, dances, and customs that go back to antiquity. Several contributions deal with the Byzantine Church, its architecture, iconography, and liturgical function. A recurring theme is secularization, which is examined both from a scholarly and from a Christian perspective. The Gagauz are presented as a co-religious, historically connected community to whom one should respond with Christian love. The text connects cultural identity, Orthodox religion, and the preservation of tradition as a shared task. There is no single speaker; rather, it is a compilation of various contributions.

The coexistence of these qualities poses a substantive question for religious tourism: when […] Cultural Heritage - Tradition A View on Secularization The relevant literature on "secularization" has taken on great dimensions in recent decades.
