Perform all actions for His sake - Bhagavad Gita XVIII 46
Perfection is achieved by consciously offering one's daily actions and duties as sacrifice to the all-pervading divine reality.
Therefore, whatever you do, offer it to God. You can say in the morning, oh God, whatever I do today, I offer it to you as my gift.
The text interprets verse 46 of the 18th chapter of the Bhagavad Gita and places the worship of God through the fulfillment of personal duty at its center. Sukadev Bretz explains that perfection is achieved by offering all actions as sacrifice to the higher reality that pervades all beings. It is emphasized that the human being is part of this highest reality and has emerged from it. The speaker suggests concrete forms of practice, such as offering all actions to God in the morning or in the evening. In addition, the use of the mantra 'Narayana, iti, Samapayami' before and after actions is recommended. This practice is intended to connect one's own actions with the Divine and to understand them as a gift. The text combines theological exegesis with practical spiritual exercises suitable for everyday life.
