Humility · main message Hope · carrying

True holiness and divine encounter do not take place in the splendor of perfection, but in the humility of distress and weakness, as made visible in the stable birth of Christ.

God does not encounter us in situations of perfection, but in moments of distress or our weakness.

The text reflects on the annual recurrence of the Christmas story and its different emotional effect on people. It notes that the story evokes joy for some, nostalgia or melancholy for others. The central thesis is that God reveals himself in moments of distress or weakness, not in perfection. As evidence, the birth of Christ in a humble stable setting without palace or comfort is cited. The text emphasizes that the holiness of this moment resulted from the mere presence of God in that place. A connection is drawn between the historical narrative and the current experience of the listeners. The message aims to highlight the significance of divine closeness in difficult life situations.

Full text in English
It is a story that is familiar to us all, and yet we experience it differently each year. For some it brings joy; for others a feeling of nostalgia or even a touch of melancholy. But to all of us it reveals this truth: God does not meet us in situations of perfection, but in moments of distress or our weakness. When Christ was born, there was no palace, no comfort, no splendor — only straw, cold, and the quiet breathing of the animals in the stable. And yet — there the Lord of Glory took up residence! And what made that moment holy was nothing other than the presence of God in that place.
