Divine grace manifests in motherly love and the conscious experience of the everyday, which makes possible the healing of societal division and inner alienation.

The sacred is always in the profane, the sacred is in simplicity, the sacred is in the everyday, when I look at things consciously

The text links the concept of divine grace with motherly love and the everyday experience of beauty, for example through the scent of a flower or a piece of cake. It argues that the divine is to be found in the profane and the everyday when one consciously perceives it, rather than being swallowed up by the superficiality of modern life. The mother is portrayed as the embodiment of this grace, which holds the family together through care, de-escalation, and long-term thinking. A critique is levelled at linear, ego-driven masculinity, which leads to conflict and war, in contrast to circular, healing femininity. The text calls for acknowledging one's own limits as a guest on earth and for learning the art of balance between intellect, instinct, and heart. Quotations from the Gurbani (Sikh scripture) and metaphors such as the ocean of bliss underpin the thesis that love and devotion are the path to spiritual healing. The sudden death of a mother in the circle of friends serves as a concrete occasion to reflect on transience and the enduring power of love.

Welcome from the heart to the Wisdom Talk. Today we want to speak about the topic of grace and mothers. How does that fit together? Grace and mothers? Both are closely connected. We came to this topic because in the circle of friends a mother suddenly passed away. And when that happened, I had an inner dialogue about the topic of grace. Very often we speak at Gnade Gurbarsandhi about the grace of enlightenment. Very great topics are opened up there, where it is about the highest of the highest. When we look at everyday life and give space to all that grace is in everyday life, we notice that grace is with us all the time. Now we are so busy that we no longer perceive this grace. It is like the ocean, which is there. The roaring of the sea is always there, but when we move away from this ocean, we no longer hear the roaring. And so we then think at some point that the roaring does not exist at all. The roaring stands for the divine in us. It is a metaphor as always. In spirituality we can only work with metaphors. Because the timeless is actually indescribable. Ghatgatah we say, an indescribable story, a mystery. And a mystery we can only describe by approaching this mystery. We cannot explain it. And so we also cannot explain grace. But we can sense it, feel it, experience it. A flower that is fragrant is the result of grace. A flower has no other purpose than to be a flower. If we walk past, indifferent to a flower, we miss the grace that has been given to us with it. This beautiful, gentle fragrance, we will breathe it in. We experience the grace of life, the grace of beauty, the grace of mystery. And that is up to us. Do we simply walk past? Or do we give this grace space? We also notice by this. Grace is always unconditional. It is not the case that grace is available for certain people who do something specific and the others cannot experience grace. We continually experience grace. Only we do not experience it consciously. Not at all as a reproach to ourselves, but because we now live in such a world in which the entire structure ensures that we are increasingly trapped in superficiality, in stress, in the fast pace of life, always only focused on what we can quickly and superficially perceive, with the biological eyes. It is increasingly difficult for us, therefore, to listen to our heart, to come to the level of the heart. And that is exactly why spirituality has been given to us. To move downwards, into the center, to the heart, away from the intellect. And equally away from the instincts. We move from above, from the body, into the center of the body, also from below, from the instincts, upwards into the center. This is the path of wisdom and this is the path of spirituality. And if we can experience this from a young age, if this was shown to us by example, we are much more easily able to understand these basic principles of life and to learn how we can consciously live this art. The art of balance. Where love is, there is the heart. And where these two things come together, there is always harmony and there is always balance and peace. There is nothing extreme and that is the greatest grace in life. If we can live this art again. And that is why we have come here. We master this art, because we have alienated ourselves from this art. And so we have come to heal and to become one. I say it again and again. These are among the most important wisdoms that have been given to us. We have come to heal. To heal our arrogance, that we think we can be without the others. That we think we are so powerful that we can subjugate others. On a spiritual level, but as we also see every day, on a worldly level. Then, when we understand that among the greatest grace is that, that we are guests. Then our life changes. Then true, sustainable transformation takes place. Then we address the root causes of suffering and all the evil we leave behind here. We are all guests, regardless of our background. And we talk and think and act on a very superficial level when we fall into these categories. I come from this country and may God bless this country, so to speak, yes? God bless this country, our country. That is not how the Divine works. The Divine does not even think, for it is not a person. And the Divine has nothing to do with it that it favors certain groups, man-made borders, man-made fictions, such as a nation-state, but with real consequences, and in spirituality it is about seeing through the man-made constructs and moving back toward the true homeland. And that is our heart. If we search outside for the true, we will always experience suffering. So say the wise. The Holy, the Holiest is the pure heart of a wise person. It is not a physical place. For as we experience daily, the so-called holy places are very often places of discord, strife, and even violence. The Holy is always to be found where there is peace, where there is love, where there is devotion. Devotion for the well-being of all living beings, including Mother Earth. Now we come to the topic of Mother. The Holy Mother Earth is spoken of again and again. We want Guru Pani Beta Mata Tarte Mahattu, the Holy Mother Earth. And why is she holy? And we are not speaking here for a particular region or tradition. Everywhere, likewise in Indigenous traditions, the holiness of the Mother, of Mother Earth, is spoken of again and again. Motherhood is a grace. Motherhood means giving the offspring everything it needs to flourish, and that in love, in respect, in devotion, all the immeasurable virtues that we carry within us, and of course we always carry both within us, the good and the bad. For without the good, the bad would make no sense, and if there were no bad, there would also be no good, and so both always go together, the day and the night, the storm and the calm, the wave and the calm ocean, the joy and the suffering, the tears and the laughter, both condition each other, are two sides of a coin, and the Mother enables us to experience all of this, for without the Mother we would not be, and the Mother is feminine and at the same time the Mother is also masculine, Meda mate peta gursate gulgura, the feminine is not possible without the masculine and vice versa, here too the same universal principle of the universe, but this deep love, this devotion, this devotion that I create a nest in which the offspring can feel at home and flourish, that is a divine, maternal virtue. There are so many beautiful verses on all the important topics in life, and so there is also this one verse, John Barrick, Matas Mare Dukpanjan, Suxhager Swami, Deedasagil Ahare Dio, just as the Mother cares for her children, so too does the Divine care. The Divine is again and again described as the ocean, the ocean, the eternal ocean of bliss, so this ocean also takes away our suffering and gives us all, bestows upon us all the potentials that the Divine itself carries within, for we are a drop of the Divinity, and as soon as this is brought back to our memory, as soon as we succeed in recognizing this Divinity within us and in others, we are gradually able to also bring these divine potentials into life, and these virtues in which we can grow, all the virtues that enable us to do so, that is metaphorically again and again described as the virtue of motherhood, and not without reason do I hear again and again, also in families, and in the families where the mothers are those who hold the family together, the love in the family to give and very often one does indeed express it through food, yes, love through food. Mothers who, when there is conflict, are the ones who mediate, who are not the ones who contribute to escalation but who de-escalate, who bring the bond into the dynamic, who speak with love and not with aggression, loudly, who try to see the short-term well-being but who think long-term, long-term about the entire well-being of the entire family and not just look at individual interests, quick gains, whether of a financial nature or an emotional nature, it doesn't matter at all, who have the whole thing in view. Whoever has such a mother is blessed, and there we are back on the topic of grace. And in the circle of friends where the mother has passed away, it was like this: some time ago we were visiting there and unfortunately I could not meet the mother personally on that day, but she had baked us a cake and it was such a delicious cake, we wiped out the whole thing, and I then said to the friend, please tell your mom it was the most delicious, most delicious cake I have ever eaten, and I would so, so much like to eat this cake again, of course preferably when the mother is also present, and if that is not possible, I would so much like to get the recipe. And now the mother has passed away, very suddenly, and the recipe has not reached me anymore. And then the friend said this morning, you know, I'll see if I can find the recipe somewhere, maybe she wrote it down. And then I said to him, you know, in the end, when I said that I would like the recipe, it was not really about the recipe itself, because the love, that was the recipe, that was the recipe. Then there was a silence, a silence between us that was a beautiful silence, a silence of understanding, of agreement, a silence that had seen the grace through a simple cake. And that is why the sacred is always in the profane, the sacred is in the simplicity, the sacred is in the everyday, when I look at things consciously. Who would come up with the idea to connect grace with a cake? Life has connected it, not us. And so it is that a mother also binds the family together, the love of the mother is in the food, and that is why the food tastes so incredibly good, so completely different from when others cook, even though it is a very similar dish. And so love works, it is the greatest medicine in this universe. And that is why the sages say, not without reason: Sajikohon sun leho sobe Jin preim kyo den Hebrabe Bayo. That is a truth, and everyone should listen to it very carefully. Only someone who brings the art of love into life is at all in a position to approach the Divine. And those who have experienced true love from childhood on, also this unique mother's love, those are also the ones who are intuitively in a position to live the feminine in themselves. Those are the ones who know that a complete person, an awakened person, one who lives consciously, carries both within and both come to life. The one is not played against the other, but the masculine and the feminine together form a unity. And that is also precisely why it is a metaphor for marriage: the feminine and the masculine come together, come together, and complete each other. The drop, often described as the soul, as the feminine soul, enters into the masculine ocean, and there is no more difference between the two. And now let us imagine that a mother with these virtues sits at a negotiation table where war and peace are being negotiated, where it is not ego-driven, purely interest-based, everything products of linear masculine thinking, but where circularity is allowed, where one knows that what one sees today may not bear fruit tomorrow but perhaps in months, in years, where it is not about the quick result, as so often in masculinity, I I need a result immediately and this weakness we men know in ourselves that we very quickly want to achieve something where actually patience is called for and if mothers with these virtues with all their incredible life experience with their sacrifices that very very many mothers bring if they were involved I am quite sure these conversations would go differently and so it is up to us that we accept this grace the grace of this motherhood all that I have shared here today is ultimately inspired by this one mother and this one cake and both stand for the great great insights in life and so we can now go into our everyday life and can hopefully live the triad more consciously that actually makes us as spiritual beings not as biological machines but as spiritual ensouled beings namely the triad of love, light and wisdom

Dann findet wahrhafte, nachhaltige Transformation statt. God bless this country, our country.
