The adoption of the prophetic character is the key to a personal and societal renewal that brings peace and justice into a world marked by wars and oppression.
In this sense, the birth of our Prophet means a rebirth for every person who adopts his noble character and shapes his life according to his guidance.
The sermon celebrates the birth of the Prophet Muhammad as the beginning of Allah's last universal message. It describes the social conditions in Mecca before the revelation as marked by injustice and moral decay. The text contrasts this state with the society that emerged after 23 years of prophethood, in which justice and peace prevailed. The central thesis is that the adoption of the prophetic character means a 'rebirth' of the individual. A connection is made to the current state of the world, in which wars and oppression highlight the need for prophetic guidance. The believers are called upon to bring the character of the Prophet to life in their families and their surroundings. The goal is the spread of peace, mercy, and justice in society. The sermon concludes with a supplication for the adoption of this character and for peace for humanity.

Our Rebirth: The Birth of the Prophet
(21.08.2026)
Honored Muslims!
It was the twelfth day of the month of Rebi‘ul-Ewwel. The long-awaited Final Prophet came into the world. His birth was the announcement of Allah’s final and universal message, which He would send to all of humanity. This message was to convey the principles of faith, worship, and character traits that correspond to Allah’s will. It was to lead people from darkness to light, from ignorance to knowledge, and from misguidance to guidance. Humanity, above all the inhabitants of Mecca, urgently needed this guidance. For false beliefs, injustice, oppression, and moral decay prevailed on earth. Whoever was strong was considered to be in the right; the weak were oppressed, and many people were deprived of their fundamental rights.
Dear Muslims!
At the end of his twenty-three-year prophethood, a society emerged whose foundation was based on justice, law, and mutual responsibility. It was carried by people who dedicated themselves to peace, well-being, and the happiness of all humanity, and who were characterized by mercy and conscientiousness. The years of blood feuds and enmities came to an end; justice, security, peace, and brotherhood determined social life. People were convinced that true excellence is not attained through lineage, rank, or wealth, but through the fear of God and the awareness of responsibility towards Allah.
The following verse found a firm place in their hearts: “The most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the one who is most conscious of Him.”1
In this sense, the birth of our Prophet means a rebirth for every person who adopts his noble character and shapes his life according to his guidance.
Dear Believers!
The increasing wars, oppression, and expulsion of families in our world today fill us with deep sorrow. Also, children who are left alone with the suffering of this world, and mindsets that separate people from one another, cause us great concern. These negative conditions experienced by humanity show us how much we depend on the guidance and mercy of our Prophet (s), as well as on his character, which is a source of security and peace.
Therefore, let us not only commemorate our Prophet (s) on the night from Monday to Tuesday, on which we observe the Mawlid Night. Let us bring his message and his noble character to life in our lives. Let us heed the words of our Prophet (s): “The believers with the most perfect faith are those with the best character.”2 Let us, starting in our families, bring well-being, security, and brotherhood into our environment. Let us contribute to the spread of peace, mercy, and justice. Let us strive to observe the Mawlid Night in a dignified manner. For bringing the character of our Prophet (s) to life is one of the most beautiful ways to love him and follow his path.
I would like to conclude my sermon with the following supplication:
O Allah! Enable us to adopt the noble character of our Prophet (s) and to live according to it. Grant all of humanity peace, unity, justice, and well-being. Amen.

Unsere Wiedergeburt: Die Geburt des Propheten
(21.08.2026)
Geehrte Muslime!
Amin.
