Care · main message Humility · carrying Community · carrying

Infak is a central act of worship that strengthens social cohesion through sincere, humble, and generous help for those in need, and brings divine blessing and inner peace.

Infak, when carried out according to these principles, is not merely material support but also an important act of worship that strengthens cohesion and brings hearts closer together.

The text defines infak as a central expression of mutual help in Islam, encompassing both the obligatory zakat and voluntary donations. It emphasizes that this support should be given solely with the aim of attaining the pleasure of Allah, and not to seek human praise. It warns against shaming those in need by reminding them of the help given or giving them worthless items. Instead, good and high-quality goods should be donated. The text states that sincere infak does not diminish one's wealth but brings blessing and inner peace. Through quotations from the Quran and the Hadith, infak is presented as an act of worship that strengthens social cohesion. The sermon concludes with a supplication that encourages the believers to make generosity and care a fixed part of their lives.

Dear Muslims! In every society, there are people with different financial means. While some have great financial resources, others struggle even to meet their basic needs. Islam takes this fact into account and establishes an order based on mutual assistance and sharing. An important expression of this mutual assistance and sharing is Infak. This means that a person uses part of their wealth for the needy and helps them with the aim of attaining Allah's pleasure. In this sense, Infak includes both the obligatory Zakat and any voluntary donation. Dear Believers! As with everything else, there are specific rules and principles regarding Infak. Let us recall these together: Infak should not be performed with the intention of gaining the recognition and praise of people, but solely with the aim of attaining Allah's pleasure. 1 The assistance should primarily reach those who are truly in need. After such assistance, one must absolutely avoid reminding the other of the help, hurting them, or shaming them through one's behavior. 2 In Infak, one should donate what is good, clean, and high-quality, not what is worthless. 3 Dear Brothers and Sisters! Infak performed according to these principles is not only material support but also an important act of worship that strengthens cohesion and brings hearts closer to one another. Sincere Infak does not diminish wealth but brings blessing, inner peace, and reward. Thus speaks Allah, the Exalted: "Those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah are like a grain that sprouts seven ears, and in each ear there are a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies for whom He wills, and Allah is all-encompassing and all-knowing." 4 Our exalted Lord, who grants us such a blessed opportunity for worship, will not leave unrewarded any good deed done for His sake. Rather, He will reward His believing servants in the best manner in this world and the Hereafter. Our beloved Prophet (s) said on this matter: "Give for a good purpose, and you will also be given to!" 5 I would like to conclude my sermon with the following supplication: O Allah! Make us Your servants who make Infak a part of their lives, who share their wealth generously for Your pleasure, and who care for the distress of the needy. Ameen. Verehrte Muslime!
