The months of Rajab and Sha'ban are a divinely blessed time of preparation in which repentance, prayer, and fasting bring the believer closeness to Allah and prepare them worthily for Ramadan.

Whoever now strengthens his prayer will perform it in Ramadan with sincerity and khushu. Whoever now opens the Quran will focus on its meaning in Ramadan. Whoever now purifies his heart will taste the sweetness of faith in Ramadan.

The text announces the beginning of the three blessed months of Rajab, Sha'ban, and Ramadan and calls on the believers to use this time for inner purification, repentance, and preparation for Ramadan. It describes the blessing (barakah) as a divine gift that goes beyond mere quantity and is rewarded in the Hereafter. Rajab is presented as the month of repentance and return to Allah, Sha'ban as a time to nurture purified hearts through prayer, Quran recitation, and voluntary fasting. The Prophet Muhammad is cited as a model for fasting in Sha'ban. The text emphasizes that Allah in these months opens the doors of his mercy wider and multiplies the reward of good deeds. Concrete actions such as more conscious prayer, more dhikr and dua, Quran reading, and voluntary fasting are recommended. The text closes with a supplication for blessing and worthy preparation for Ramadan. There is no explicit reference to contemporary political or social events.

A bountifully blessed span of time is here! (19.12.2025) Dear brothers and sisters! Believers! With joy, excitement, and enthusiasm, I wish to announce a very important event: The blessed three months of Radschab, Schaban, and Ramadan are at the door! Tomorrow, with the evening prayer (Maghrib), the month of Radschab will begin. The month with which our beloved Prophet Muhammad (s) began to recite a well-known supplication. A supplication that brings us joy and hope to our hearts: "O Allah! Bless for us the months of Radschab and Schaban and let us reach the month of Ramadan!"1 My brothers and sisters! These three months are months of "Berake," of blessing. Blessing is a divine gift that means more than just the high quantity of a thing. Rather, "blessing" means that good things, also called "Chayr," come to us in great measure with a lasting, enduring effect. A blessed deed leaves traces in the heart, gives our life direction, and pays off in the Hereafter in the form of reward. It is precisely in these blessed months that Allah opens the doors of His mercy wider than usual, He multiplies the reward of our good deeds, and creates many opportunities so that we can draw closer to Him. Supplications and sincere repentance are also far more valuable in these months. Whoever lets these months pass by carelessly misses an opportunity from Allah and turns away from it. Whoever seizes this opportunity, on the other hand, gains closeness to Allah. Dear believers! Radschab is the month of repentance, of return, and of inner purification. It is the time to give up bad habits, to settle disputes, to reconcile hearts, and to return to Allah with sincere repentance. For, although Allah knows our mistakes, our weaknesses, our omissions, and our sins, He announces to us: "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves! Do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins."2 What a Merciful Creator! Schaban, dear brothers and sisters, is the month in which we nourish our hearts, now purified through repentance, with good deeds. With prayer, Quran recitation, the remembrance of Allah, and voluntary fasting. Our Prophet (s) also fasted especially much in this month and thereby teaches us: Great goals require serious preparation.3 My brothers and sisters! These blessed months are our preparation for Ramadan. Whoever now strengthens his prayer will perform it in Ramadan with sincerity and Khushu. Whoever now opens the Quran will focus on its meaning in Ramadan. Whoever now purifies his heart will taste the sweetness of faith in Ramadan. Let us therefore perform our prayers more consciously, recite more Zikr and Dua, bring the Quran back to the center of our lives, and fast voluntarily. May Allah fill these months for us with Berake and blessing, grant us a sincere new beginning, and prepare us worthy for the blessed month of Ramadan. May He make us among those who make use of this time – not among those who regret it when it has passed. Allahumme barik lena fi Radschab we Schaban we bellighna Ramadan. Amin. Eine reichlich gesegnete Zeitspanne ist da! (19.12.2025) Liebe Geschwister! Allahumme barik lena fi Redscheb we Schaban we bellighna Ramadan. Amin.
