Closing Care Gaps There is a significant gap in care for transgender people. Often, they have to wait very long for desired treatments, which promotes the development of, for example, addiction disorders, depression, and anxiety disorders, further complicates adequate help, and puts even more strain on the help system. This training is intended to convey knowledge to those working therapeutically in order to counteract this care gap. Participants will be enabled in this training to efficiently accompany transgender people in their processes. Topics covered: Possible concepts and attitudes towards transsexuality, body-altering measures, detransition Necessary therapy contents before, during, and after hormone therapy, a surgical intervention, or another transition measure Collaboration with endocrinologists and other specialists Relevant guidelines and treatment standards Contraindications and borderline cases Cost coverage by health insurance companies Legal framework Particularities in dealing with minors, parents, and relatives Who is the training suitable for? Persons working in psychotherapy with and without a statutory health insurance contract, self-employed or employed, licensed or in training, in the field of children and adolescents, as well as adults. Die Teilnehmenden werden in dieser Fortbildung dazu befähigt transgeschlechtliche Menschen effizient in ihren Prozessen zu begleiten.
