Caring for nature, especially the ocean, is a spiritual and physical necessity, as it secures the well-being of the entire planet and the beings living on it, thereby enriching one's own life.
Taking care of nature actually means taking care of ourselves and all others.
The text is an announcement and introduction to an episode of the podcast 'Compassionate Buddha', in which the Ocean Ceremony of the Junga Meditation Center Hamburg is discussed. The speaker Denia Rositzki, Abbess of the center, introduces a quotation from Supreme Matriarch Gikwang de Popsinim that explains the significance of the nature ceremony. The core thesis is that the ocean makes up 71 percent of the Earth and its well-being influences the well-being of the entire globe and the beings living on it. It is argued that caring for nature, especially water as the most important element of the body, directly serves one's own health and mental well-being. The ceremony serves to honor the Three Jewels (Buddha, Dharma, Sangha) and the ocean and to request blessings for the coming year. A connection is drawn between caring for nature, the development of a beautiful mind, and the ability to recognize true beauty and wisdom. Finally, the speaker invites listeners to participate in the online temple of the Junga Sangha to discuss the message together.

Hello, welcome. I am very happy that you are here for the podcast Compassionate Buddha, your podcast for Love and World Peace. I am Denja Rositski with the dharma name Gakdok. I am the Abbess of the Junga Meditation Center Hamburg Junga Dama Saar, of the Junga Sanger of World Social Buddhism. In this episode, you will hear a daily reminder from Supreme Matriarch Gikwang de Popsinim about nature ceremonies, in this case the Ocean Ceremony. Enjoy! Daily fragrance of the Lotus Flower by Gikwang de Popsinim, 12.264, January 6, 2026 Lotus Buddhist Monastery. Today, Gikwang de Popsinim leads the Ocean Ceremony. The sea makes up 71 percent of this globe. That is why we hold this Ocean Ceremony once a year. If the sea is pleasant, then the whole globe is calm. That is the reason why sentient beings living on land can avert natural disasters and have pleasant lives. Therefore, we always go to the sea and perform this ceremony. Taking care of nature actually means taking care of ourselves and all others. Therefore, we hold this ceremony once a year. All of you who participate can have pleasant lives together with your families. Therefore, we perform this ceremony with utmost sincerity. Our bodies are formed from the four elements, of which the most important is water. Therefore, taking care of nature means taking care of our health. Thus, through this interconnected relationship, we make our bodies pleasant and our lives better. Therefore, this nature ceremony is very important. In summer, we will hold the Volcano Ceremony, so that we can take care of our own mind by making it pleasant. Furthermore, we are connected with nature and become one with it. Therefore, taking care of nature truly means taking care of ourselves. For example, if we work in a garden full of flowers, our mind becomes beautiful. With this beautiful mind, we can adorn ourselves with true beauty. We become clear and wiser, which enables us to even recognize the facts of nature. Moreover, we can become persons who are extremely needed by others. In this way, bringing flowers to others actually means bringing flowers to our own beautiful mind. In this beauty, we can lead a life of prosperity. Even in the Sutras, the story of a poor woman who sincerely offered a flower to Shakyamuni Buddha is mentioned. The woman was able to eliminate her karma through this small and devout act. Similarly, we can have lives of prosperity. Today we go to the sea. To appreciate the Three Jewels, Buddha, absolute truth, Dharma, and Sangha, as well as the sea. We take care of nature and perform this sincere ceremony so that its virtue goes to all of you this year. With this blessing, you can feel extremely well and bring much luck into your lives. Thank you very much, Popsinim. Thank you very much, Quangene Popsinim. Thank you for listening and thank you very much, Supreme Matriarch, Quangene Popsinim. Yes, it is naturally so that when we take care of nature, we simultaneously take care of ourselves, because we are nature. We are simply nature. And Popsinim performs so many ceremonies always for nature, so for the ocean, for the volcano, and so on. Moon ceremonies, Ancestor ceremonies, Rice ceremonies, and so on. Many, many ceremonies. And for that, I thank Popsinim very heartily. And it is truly incredible what Popsinim does for us and for nature and for the world. And yes, participating in such a ceremony, for example in the Ocean Ceremony, is a very, very wonderful experience. And it also helps oneself and one’s own family and protects us. And that is great. Thank you very much, Popsinim. With this, I would like to completely

Hallo, herzlich willkommen. Enjoy! Daily fragrance of the Lotus Flower by Gikwang de Popsinim, 12.264, 6. Januar, 2026 Lotus Buddhist Monastery. Thank you very much, die Quangene Popsanem.
