Brotherhood in Allah is the foundation of Muslim communal life and must be translated into concrete, sincere acts of mutual help and care in order to secure both social cohesion and reward in the hereafter.

Brotherhood, then, is the foundation on the basis of which the Muslim chooses his life partner, and on the basis of which he chooses his companion, and on the basis of which he begets children, and on this foundation he follows the Prophet

The text is an Islamic sermon on brotherhood in Allah as the foundation of Muslim communal life. The speaker quotes Quranic verses and Hadiths that identify love among believers as a high rank in the hereafter. Brotherhood is presented as the social glue without which the community cannot hold together. Concrete actions such as smiling, visiting, helping in everyday hardship, and suppressing anger are named as expressions of this bond. A section deals with the responsibility in giving legal rulings and advises turning to those who have knowledge rather than to social media. The text connects eschatological promises with everyday behavioural instructions. The central demand is to translate love in Allah into concrete, sincere acts towards one's brother.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and the final outcome is for the righteous, and no aggression is except against the wrongdoers. And I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, the Protector of the righteous, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and His messenger, the leader of the white-faced, bright-footed ones. May the prayers and peace of my Lord be upon him and upon his family and all his companions. O you who believe, believe! Fear Allah with the true fear of Him, and do not die except while you are Muslims. My beloved in Allah, among the people of Paradise—may Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, make us among them—are people who possess a great distinction, which is brotherhood in Allah, the Blessed and Exalted. I ask Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, to unite our hearts and to make us love one another and to guide us to the paths of peace. Allah, the Majestic and Exalted, has mentioned this group—[clears throat]—where He said, the Exalted and Glorious: "And We have removed from whatever was in their breasts of ill feeling; brothers upon couches facing each other." And Allah, the Majestic and Exalted, said in the Holy Hadith: "Those who love one another for the sake of Allah will be on pulpits of light on the Day of Resurrection, and the prophets and the truthful and the martyrs will envy them for their position." The prophets and the truthful and the martyrs wish to be with these beloved ones in Allah, the Blessed and Exalted. And Allah, the Majestic and Exalted, will say on the Day of Resurrection, as the Prophet, peace be upon him, informed us: "Where are those who love one another for My majesty? Where are those who love one another for My majesty? Today I will shade them in My shade on a Day when there is no shade except My shade." O Allah, grant us shade on a Day when there is no shade except Your shade. And the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: "Shall I inform you of your men who are among the people of Paradise? The prophet is in Paradise, the truthful one is in Paradise, the martyr is in Paradise, and the one who dies before reaching maturity is in Paradise. And the man who visits his brother in a region of the country, in a region of the place and the spot, and he does not visit him except for the sake of Allah, the Majestic and Exalted—so he too is in Paradise. And your women who are among the people of Paradise are the loving, the fertile, the devoted—the devoted one who always returns to her husband, who when he is angry comes to him and places her hand in her husband's hand and says: 'I will not taste sleep until you are pleased.'" So the common denominator among the people of Paradise is the bond. These are the ones the Prophet, peace be upon him, mentioned in the hadith that gathers them all—that bond, that connection that is between them. So brotherhood is the foundation upon which the Muslim chooses his life partner, and upon that foundation he chooses his companion on the path, and upon that foundation he raises his children, and upon that foundation he follows the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. And this high rank of brotherhood in Allah is due to the importance of that bond and brotherhood and connection. So a society cannot hold together and be secure except through love in Allah, the Blessed and Exalted. And the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "The most beloved of people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to people, and the most beloved of deeds to Allah, the Majestic and Exalted, is joy that you bring to a Muslim, or that you remove a distress from him, or that you pay off a debt for him, or that you drive away his hunger." And listen now to this word: the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "I would rather walk with my brother to fulfill his need, to help him in transporting something, in fulfilling an errand, to help him, than that I perform i'tikaf in this mosque—meaning the Prophet's Mosque—for a month." That you help your brother who needs advice, who needs a little of your time, you help him in one of the matters. The Prophet, the truthful and the verified, peace and blessings be upon him, said: This errand, a moment, five minutes, half an hour, one hour, one day is better than i'tikaf in the Mosque of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, for a full month. Look at the great reward of i'tikaf in the Prophet's Mosque. O Allah, make it easy for us to visit the Mosque of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him. Every day five prayers, 150 prayers, and every prayer is multiplied many times. This is besides the voluntary prayers and the recitation of the Quran and the remembrance of Allah and sitting in circles of knowledge. You help your brother, and that is better than i'tikaf in the Mosque of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, for a full month. The Prophet, peace be upon him, continues saying: "And whoever suppresses his anger, even though he could have carried it out—he is able to embarrass his brother, he is able to expose his brother, he is able, able to hurt his brother with a word—and whoever suppresses his anger, even though he could have carried it out, Allah will fill his heart with contentment on the Day of Resurrection. And whoever walks with his brother in a need until he fulfills it for him, Allah will firm his steps on the Day of Resurrection, a Day when feet will slip." O Allah, unite our hearts. O Allah, make us love one another. O Allah, guide us to the paths of peace. This brotherhood begins with a simple act, and that is the smile. The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "Fear Allah and do not belittle any good, even if you empty your bucket into the vessel of the one who is asking for water, you give him water, you place in a cup, in his cup, in his glass, something for him to drink. And that you meet your brother with your face open toward him, that you smile in the face of your brother." And listen to this hadith that explains the virtue of brotherhood. The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: "A man visited a brother of his in another village, so Allah sent an angel to him on his path. Allah sent him an angel on his way. When he came to him, this angel said to this man: 'Where are you going?' He said: 'I want to visit a brother of mine in this village.' This angel said: 'Do you have any favor over him that he repays? Did he do something that you want to return the kindness?' He said: 'No, he has not done anything for me, I have not benefited from him in a worldly, material benefit, nothing other than that I loved him for the sake of Allah, the Majestic and Exalted.' This angel said: 'I am the messenger of Allah to you, that Allah has loved you as you loved him for His sake.'" O Allah, grant us Your love and the love of those who love You and the love of every deed that leads to Your love. What brings us closer to loving You, this brotherhood, my beloved ones, should be translated into action. And so the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever issues a fatwa without knowledge, the sin is upon the one who issued it, not the one who took it." The one who takes a false, erroneous fatwa—who is the sinner? The sinner is the one who issued it despite his ignorance and despite his lack of knowledge. This is if the person seeking the fatwa, the questioner, assumed that he knew. But if the person seeking the fatwa knew that he did not know, then both have sinned, for Allah, the Most High and Exalted, said: "So ask the people of knowledge." And not just anyone who comes along—ask the people of knowledge. Do not ask TikTok, do not ask Instagram, do not ask YouTube, do not ask Google, even ChatGPT. Rather, ask the people of knowledge. So do not be free of responsibility, O questioner. You cannot escape this responsibility and say, "The people misled me." You erred in asking the ignorant one. Why did you not seek out the scholar? But if it was said to you, "This is a scholar," and you believed he was a scholar and you assumed he was among the people of knowledge, but he erred in his fatwa—he made permissible for you what is haram, made forbidden for you what is halal—then are you sinful? No, rather the sin is upon the one who issued a fatwa without knowledge. As for this scholar, if he exerted himself in ijtihad and erred, he has one reward, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said. And if he exerted himself in ijtihad and hit the mark, he has two rewards. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "And whoever advises his brother to a matter while he knows that guidance lies in its opposite." A person may come to you seeking advice: "Should I buy this car? Should I go to this place? Is this house good?" And you know with certainty that this car is not good, this house is not recommended, but you say, "Yes, yes, rely on Allah, it's good." Why? Because you will profit from it financially, or you will get rid of it, or it is your car or your house or something similar, and you want to get rid of it. "Go ahead, brother, this new one is good." And you are lying to me. This is betrayal. None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself. So if you give advice, give it with sincerity and piety. The believer is the mirror of the believer, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The believer is the mirror of the believer." That is, I see my faults in you, as if you were a mirror. You are the one who advises me, you are the one who gives me the good word. I learn and am raised by your advising me. The believer is the mirror of his brother, or the mirror of the believer. And the believer is the brother of the believer: he guards his absent one and protects him from behind. That is, he protects him. So when this Muslim is absent, his brother protects him and does not betray him in his wealth, nor in his family, nor in his honor. That is true brotherhood. Indeed, even if your Muslim brother errs, do not gloat over him, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Do not be an aid to Satan against your brother." And in a narration: "Do not mock him," meaning advise him, remind him. So some of the Companions turned to a Companion who had sinned, saying, "Did you not fear Allah? Did you not revere Allah? Did you not feel shy of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him?" Then they left him. And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "But say, 'O Allah, forgive him. O Allah, have mercy on him.'" And as the poet said: "And when the beloved comes with one sin, his virtues come with a thousand intercessors. If the deed that displeased was one, his deeds that pleased are many." I ask Allah to unite our hearts and to make us love one another. I say this and I seek forgiveness from Allah for myself and for you, so seek His forgiveness. Indeed, He is the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful. [Coughing] [Clearing throat] In the name of Allah, praise be to Allah, and blessings and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah. Brothers, please move forward. Fill in the gaps and sit a bit closer together. Many brothers are still standing. [Clearing throat] Dear brothers and sisters, among the inhabitants of Paradise is a group of people, namely those who love one another for the sake of Allah. May Allah unite our hearts. May Allah strengthen the love among us. Allah mentioned in the description of the inhabitants of Paradise, saying: "And We will remove whatever is in their breasts of resentment, as brothers they will lie facing one another on thrones." In Paradise, the brothers, the siblings in Islam, will be together, because they were together in the Dunya. Allah, the Most High, says in the holy Hadith: "Those who love one another for My sake will be on minbars of light. The prophets, the truthful ones, and the martyrs will envy them for their position." May Allah count us among these brothers. And Allah, the Most High, says on the Day of Resurrection, as the Prophet reported to us: "Where are those who loved one another for My majesty's sake? Where are those who loved one another for My majesty's sake? Today I will grant them shade in My shade, on a day when there is no shade except My shade." And the Messenger said: "Shall I not inform you of your men who are among the inhabitants of Paradise? The prophet is in Paradise, the truthful one is in Paradise, the martyr is in Paradise, the child is in Paradise, that is, the one who died before puberty. And the man who visits his brother in another part of the city and does so exclusively for the sake of Allah." visited, so this one is also in Paradise. And among your wives who belong to the inhabitants of Paradise is the loving, mother of many children, who turns back to her husband when he is angry. She comes to him, places her hand in her husband's hand and says: "I will not find sleep until you are satisfied." The common denominator of all these groups of people is the relationship among one another, this firm bond that Allah has placed between the believers. The spouses are together for Allah. They give children for Allah. Those who sacrifice for Allah defend their brothers. And the Prophets are those whom we love the most because of faith. This love for Allah among people, that is brotherhood. >> [sounds of snoring] >> And this brotherhood is something that Allah rewards manifold. So said the Prophet. The people dearest to Allah are those who are most beneficial to people. And the deed dearest to Allah is a joy that you bring to a Muslim, a hardship that you remove from him, a debt that you pay off for him, or a hunger that you avert from him. And then the Prophet says further, that I go with a brother and help him with a matter. Someone needs help with a move, with something. He is looking for a job, whatever it is, he needs support. The Prophet said that I go with a brother to help him with a matter, is dearer to me than I retreat in this mosque, the Prophet's Mosque, for a month to make i'tikaf. A month of i'tikaf in the Prophet's Mosque, in that mosque where a prayer is rewarded a thousandfold, 150 obligatory prayers, apart from the voluntary prayers one can pray there, apart from the Quran one can read, apart from the sessions of knowledge and remembrance of Allah, how many good deeds does one collect in a month in Medina in the Prophet's Mosque, that you help a brother across the street. He has a breakdown, you drive over and help him. He has a question and you give him good advice. Is worth more, says the Prophet, than a whole month of i'tikaf. A moment with your brother, not a lifetime, a single moment. Why this enormous reward? Because without brotherhood society falls apart. Without support, help, without advice we do not move forward. And it is not about in Islam that you reach the finish line. It is about that we all arrive at the goal together. So hand in hand. So you help the one who is not as fast as you and for that you receive this enormous reward. And the Prophet says further: "And whoever holds back his anger, although he could give in to it, you could finish him off. You are able to expose him. You could hurt him so much with your words that he does not get up again. But you do not do it. You restrain your anger. You hold yourself back, his heart Allah will fill with satisfaction on the Day of Resurrection. Do you think someone who does not know whether he will come to Hell or not is satisfied? Do you think someone who has to tremble is satisfied? Do you think someone who sees or smells or hears Hell will be satisfied? That means, you will enter Paradise immediately. What makes you satisfied? Please, what makes you satisfied? Except the entry into Paradise. Whoever restrains himself and holds back his anger, Allah will fill his heart with satisfaction on the Day of Resurrection. And whoever goes with his brother to help him with a matter until he has completed it for him, Allah will firm his feet on the Day of Resurrection, on the day when feet falter. When do feet falter, among other things on the bridge? Sirat, one slips, another stumbles, another falls. But were you with your brother in the Dunya? Did you help him? Did you not leave him in the lurch? You do not fall. You you will glide across this bridge with the prophets. May Allah count us among them. The Prophet said: "Fear Allah." and do not consider any good deed as insignificant, even if you pour water from your bucket into the vessel of a thirsty person or you meet your brother with a friendly open face, for that is where brotherhood already begins. A smile. I have no money, I have no information, I cannot give advice, I smile. Show a smile that makes your brother feel well. Give him a glass of water, give him something to drink. That is where it already begins. And the Prophet also said, whoever receives a religious ruling without knowledge, the sin of that is borne by the one who gave him that ruling, of course provided that you asked and did everything you could to obtain authentic knowledge. But if you yourself are to blame for asking anyone who is not on the ball, no matter what kind of TikToker, influencer you take knowledge from, then it is just, then you are to blame yourself. It is about the fact that I asked, there it says Professor Doctor, there it says something or other, the student of Allah, but in the end it was a false statement, is that so? No, you have done your job. Ask the people of knowledge if you do not know. Not someone who simply scrolls on their phone and says: "Yes, I was given the wrong information. You searched wrong." So, the one who searches properly but in the end receives a wrong answer, it will not be written as a sin for him. And whoever advises his brother to a matter, although he knows that the right thing lies in something else, has deceived him. You want to get rid of something somehow. Your bicycle, car, something or other, brother. Super, that is great. It will still run for the next 100 years and you know perfectly well that the day after tomorrow it will be on the highway. You give him a wrong answer, a wrong piece of advice, then you have deceived him. And if this person is someone who has a high standing with Allah, then you have a problem with Allah. For the Prophet said that Allah says, whoever attacks one of my followers, I declare war upon him. So you must get along well with your brothers, you must wish him good, wish him success, wish him progress. Give him good advice. Do not be stingy with your knowledge, with your experience, with your advice. And do not think that just because you give the other person tips, the provision will become less for you. Quite the opposite, for the Provider is Allah, the Exalted. May Allah unite our hearts and may Allah strengthen the love among us. Our brother Maimun al-Za' has been struck by a clot, so we ask Allah, the Exalted and Sublime, to heal him with a healing that leaves no illness behind. O Allah, Lord of mankind, remove from him the affliction and heal, You are the Healer, there is no healing except Your healing, a healing that leaves no illness behind. O Allah, lift from him the disease and send down upon him the healing and bless the medicine. O Allah, protect him with Your beautiful protection. O Allah, lengthen his life in health and well-being and faith and piety. O Allah, support Islam and the Muslims. O Allah, support whoever supports the religion and cause to fail whoever causes the religion to fail. O Allah, grant us Your love and the love of those who love You and the love of every deed that brings us closer to Your love. O Allah, whatever You have provided us from what we love, make it a strength for us in what You love. O Allah, protect our offspring from the trials, what is apparent of them and what is hidden. And may Allah send blessings and peace and increase and bless upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon his family an

Also Hand in Hand. Das bedeutet also, du wirst sofort ins Paradies kommen. Wann was macht dich zufrieden? Bitte, was macht dich zufrieden?
