Repentance · main message Knowledge · carrying Patience

The meaning of life is not predetermined but arises through mindful action in the here and now and the liberation from attachment and egoism.

The meaning of life therefore lies in training one's own mind so that one is freed from illusions, hatred, and egoism.

The text combines basic Buddhist ideas with modern self-coaching. It denies a predetermined meaning of life and emphasizes that meaning arises through one's own action in the here and now. The Four Noble Truths and the Noble Eightfold Path are presented as a path to liberation from suffering, attachment, and egoism. The speaker uses personal examples from his life, such as weight loss and money behavior, to establish a connection to everyday life. He calls for mindfulness, for the care of the body and of thoughts, and for letting go of old beliefs. At the end, he advertises his own coaching activity and invites contact. The text is directed at individual listeners who are searching for meaning and inner peace.

Welcome to Buddhism in Everyday Life, the podcast all about the topic of Buddhism, the audio format for those who are interested and those who feel drawn to the teaching of the Great Teacher. The meaning of life is to give your life a meaning. To make your life as worthwhile as possible. From my many years of experience as an energy worker and coach and observer of my own life, I can only tell you, there is no single predetermined meaning to your life. The way you are, right now, that is how you are because that is how you have learned to be. The way you are today, however, you do not have to be for the rest of your life. I would like to give you an example from my life. As a child, I saw that men with bellies are perfectly normal. So I naturally took my male family members as role models. They all carry big bellies in front of them. When I then reached the point at 23 years old and 100 kilos where it was difficult for me to tie my shoelaces and my pants kept sliding down every time, I had had enough. My decision, I am going to change this now, said and done. I gathered from all possible directions the information I needed 17 years ago to lose weight quickly and healthily. Empathism: the universe is not guided by a creator god who assigns a specific task to humans. Life is an endless cycle of birth, death, and rebirth. Meaning does not arise from what is prescribed to you, but from what you do in the here and now. The essence of Buddha's teaching is summarized in the Four Noble Truths. Life is imperfect and brings suffering. The cause of suffering is our cravings, our attachments, and our ignorance. But suffering can be ended. The path to it is the Noble Eightfold Path. A thread of suffering through right thinking, right action, and meditation. The meaning of life therefore lies in training one's own mind so that one is freed from illusions, hatred, and egoism. The path is the goal. Awaken in the here and now. Buddha repeatedly emphasized that brooding about the past or the future is useless. It is in the present that the meaning of life unfolds. Through mindfulness, through insight, you recognize the true nature of reality. Everything is impermanent and there is no fixed, permanent self. Whoever deeply understands this finds inner peace. Which path have you chosen so far? Is it perhaps unethical or unspiritual for you if you have a lot of money? Do you prefer to keep your mouth shut because peace in the outside world is more important to you than speaking your truth? Are old thoughts and beliefs keeping you trapped in the endless cycle of repetition? I will give you an example. And if it triggers you, if you feel a sense of guilt, shame, fear, or frustration within you, then please look exactly there. And feel free to also press pause on the podcast and take pen and paper and write down exactly where this problem is currently arising in your life. Where do you feel it? And now, for example, why do you have no money? Why is there always so much month left at the end of the money? Perhaps you know people for whom this is the case? They say, I can't save because I earn so little in my job. At the same time, they go to the gas station to get something to eat or to drink. And I am talking about more than once on a longer drive. These people, or you too, can no longer receive more money because they are so inattentive in how they handle what they have available, or also the topic of pain in one's own body. Many people complain that they have back pain. And before they would invest five minutes in themselves daily, they go to the doctor and get medication. And now, to conclude, I would like to urge you. If you are looking for a meaning in your life, then begin to recognize the meaning within yourself. Nurture your body. Nurture and cultivate your thoughts and listen to your heart. Let go of what angers you. Let go of what worries you. And choose to allow yourself to receive fullness in your life. Where are the old programings, the old beliefs, the old emotions anchored within you? Who anchored them there? That perhaps you grew up in a poor family. Those are the patterns of your past. But you want to create a new future. A more beautiful and harmonious present for yourself, so that you can gain more meaning in life for yourself. If it helps you, I am not a superhuman. I have only recognized what makes sense to me in life. And you are allowed to find that meaning for yourself as well. If you need help with that, please feel free to contact me through my homepage, which you can find in the show notes. And to close, all my love. Be blessed, your Rainer.

Lass das los, was dich verärgert. Lass das los, was dir Sorgen bereitet. Sei gesegnet dein Rainer.
