Dementia does not arise from a declining memory, but from wrong thinking that blocks the mind; those who work sincerely and meditate daily remain mentally healthy and can even think beyond their younger years.
The more we use our brains, the healthier they become. Thus we can even avoid becoming senile.
The text is a daily reminder from the Lotus Buddhist Monastery, read aloud by a dharma teacher. The central message is that age itself is not decisive, but rather the way one uses one's mind. Those who work sincerely and meditate daily remain mentally clear and can even develop better thoughts than in their younger years. Dementia is explained not as a natural aging process, but as a consequence of wrong thinking habits that block the mind. The solution lies in concentration on the present, in sincere mantra recitation, and in devotion to one's work. Compassion and appreciation for others are described as an expression of a maternal and paternal Buddhist care. The cosmic power of the universe is named as the source of life energy. The text closes with a wish for a happy and relaxed week.

Hello, welcome. I am very happy that you are here on the podcast Compassionate Buddha, your podcast for love and world crisis. I am Dänia Rosicki, called Dama Gakdok. I am the Abit of the Universummeditation Center Hamburg-Junger Dama-Zah of the Universummer Sanger of World Social Buddhism. In this episode, you can see a daily reminder from Supreme Matriarch di Quang de Popsenem. The more we use our breasts, the older we are, is not so important. Have fun! Daily fragrance of the lotus flower by Gikwang de Popsenem, 12.095, July 21, 2025 Lotus Buddhist monastery. As we age, we have many kinds of fears, because we do not know how much longer we will live. Instead of doubting how much longer we will live, such thinking can change into thoughts of wanting to live everyday sincerely. Being such thoughts makes our minds comfortable and our precious lives consequently become much better. How old we are is not that important. Every single day, as we do our works sincerely, we can work much better, continuously striving and researching. The more diligent our efforts are, the clearer our brains get and the old selves become healthier. As a result we can have even better thinking than we had when we were young. Also we can sharply comprehend whatever we did not think about before, resulting in many good ideas. So those around us become much more surprised. The human brain cells are much better than other parts of the body. Hence it is now said that the human brain does not get old. Also, when we think our thoughts are marked by aging, then such false notions make us lazy. Doing so blocks the function of our brains. Hence senility occurs not because our memory is failing, but rather because the wrong thinking blocks our own brains and prevents healthy functioning. The more we use our brains, the healthier they become. Thus we can even avoid becoming senile. Problems of senility arise when our minds are stuck in the past or the future. The impact of senility can be most frightening. When we sincerely think about the present, then no irrelevant and rubbish thinking can enter our brains. In order to do that, we must repeat the mantra sincerely and do our work wholeheartedly. Thus even our thinking becomes healthy and this brings happiness to our own lives. It is important not to worry. We should instead have the mind to appreciate everyone. With that appreciative mind, even if some negative actions are committed, we can understand those who commit them. So we are able to embrace others. With our minds becoming one true compassionate mind. The mind of Kvanz-Umusal is just like that of a mother. She takes care of and protects everyone, making all our wishes come true. So Kamuni Buddha is just like a wise father, always guiding his children in the correct direction. Zhangagmir Popyanvakyong is the exquisite power of the universe. So this power is still full of such energy, making life shine much more. Thank you very much, Jigwangna Popsanim. Thank you very much for listening and thank you very much, Jigwangna Popsanim. I wish you a happy, joyous and relaxed week. Yours in the Dharma, Gakdok.
