Destroying others' relationships out of greed generates karmic suffering for all parties involved, while keeping mutual promises and nurturing long-standing bonds lead to a precious and fulfilling life.
In particular, tearing other people's families apart out of greed and desire brings a very difficult situation for the wrongdoer.
The text deals with the Buddhist concept of relationship karma and explains that destroying other people's families through greed and desire generates suffering for all parties involved. The core message is that broken promises and unfaithful behaviour carry karmic consequences that manifest as disappointments and suffering. The text advises keeping mutual promises and nurturing relationships through fidelity and care. Long-standing bonds are presented as precious because they enable trust and mutual support. Friendships without a romantic component are also described as valuable. The text refers to ageing and the impermanence of the body as the reason why desire for young people leads to ignorance. The call to action is directed at the listeners, urging them to shape their relationships consciously and responsibly. Hello, welcome. I am very happy that you are here at the podcast Compassionate Buddha, your podcast for Love and World Peace. I am Denja Rositski with dh. Gagdog. I am Abbess of the Juna Meditation Center Hamburg-Jungwaddamer Saar, of the Juna Sanger of World Social Buddhism. In this episode you will hear a Daily Reminder from Supreme Materialistikwang de Popsanim about relationship karma. Daily Fragrants of the Lotus Flower by Jikwang de Popsanim. 12.439, 30 June 2026 Lotus Buddhist Monastery. Of the human types of karma, relationship karma always causes one to feel guilty. In addition, whatever karma one has created, one must receive the results accordingly. In particular, tearing apart the families of others out of greed and desire brings a very difficult situation for the offender. For this reason, the partners who love each other are brought into adverse circumstances. Which causes them much suffering. Such disappointment and anger are therefore directed not only against oneself, but also affect the person who tore the family apart. Which leads to both feeling uncomfortable. That is the reason why Suckermoni Buddha has always said that we must not break the mutual promises. For example, people who break the marriage vow create relationship karma. Therefore, we must in particular not tear apart other families. In this way we save ourselves. If we destroy the partnership of another out of love and the desire to enter into this negative relationship ourselves, this karma returns to us in the form of numerous disappointments. Over time it sometimes seems that the love between those who once loved each other is no longer present. However, if the love is kept alive through the promises we have given each other, we know more about ourselves and appreciate our partners all the more. Thus we recognize how precious our relationships are, which enables us to lead better lives. As we grow older, the face gets wrinkles and the body no longer functions the way it did when we were young. Yet harboring greed and desire when we see a young person leads to much ignorance. That is the reason why, in contrast, even a long-lasting friendship with a person we know is an extremely precious connection, even if it may not be a partnership. If we have a long-standing connection, this means that we truly trust each other, care for each other, and benefit each other. This explains why it is extremely precious to be together in such a relationship, not only in this life but also continuing in the next life. Thus they always meet, trust each other, and believe in each other. For this reason, such bonds are extremely special. Even if our body is uncomfortable, the person who takes care of us and helps us creates the most precious relationship with us. Thank you, the Popsanem. Hallo, herzlich willkommen. Ich freue mich sehr, dass du da bist beim Podcast Compassionate Buddha, dein Podcast für Love and World Peace. Ich bin Denja Rositski mit dh. Gagdog. Daily Fragrants of the Lotus Flower by Jikwang de Popsanim. 12.439, 30. Juni 2026 Lotus Buddhist Monastery. Was ihnen viel Leiden bereitet.
