Whoever trusts in God, shares His blessings, and continues to work tirelessly despite hardships, will find light following every darkness and relief following every toil.
O human being! Do not forget that every night is followed by a bright day. Be neither pessimistic nor hopeless. You are never alone; do not feel a sense of loneliness.
The text is a DITIB Friday sermon that draws lessons from the Quranic suras Duha (93) and Inschirah (94). The central message is that after every night a bright day follows and after every hardship relief comes. The listeners are encouraged not to become pessimistic, not to give up, and to trust in God. There is a call to share the blessings received, to care for orphans, not to harm the needy, and to help the poor. The sermon emphasizes that one should not consider oneself useless at any age and should continue to work tirelessly. It concludes with a supplicatory prayer of the Prophet that encompasses faith, the world, and the hereafter. No specific contemporary reference is made.

Lessons from the Surahs Duha and Insirah
(11.04.2025)
Dear Brothers and Sisters!
In my Friday sermon today, I would like to speak about the lessons of the Surahs Duha and Insirah. Allah, the Exalted, draws our attention to the following in the Surah Duha, among other things: O human! Do not forget that every night is followed by a bright day. Be neither pessimistic nor hopeless. You are never alone; do not feel lonely. O human, trust in your Lord! Believe that your future will be better than your past, as long as you adhere to His commands! Never lose hope! Your Lord, Who has bestowed so many blessings upon you until now, will grant you many more blessings if you lead a life that pleases Him. Think of all that was given to you when you had nothing. Share this wealth with those who have received little of it. Take care of orphans, do not hurt the feelings of the needy, and do not leave the poor empty-handed when they ask you for help. Always remember with gratitude the blessings of your Lord that you have experienced throughout your life.1
Dear Believers!
In the Quran, the Surah Insirah follows the Surah Duha. In this Surah, Allah, the Exalted, informs us of the following: O human! Blessing follows effort. With every hardship comes ease. Do not flee from difficulty when you face it! Never give up. Continue your effort tirelessly and steadfastly. No matter how old you are, there are always things you can do. Do not consider yourself useless. Do you want to use your time to the best of your ability? Then immediately begin another task as soon as you have completed one. Turn to your merciful Lord with your whole heart.2
Brothers and Sisters!
I would like to conclude my sermon with a supplication of our beloved Prophet: “O Allah! Let me live my faith righteously, for it is my security. Set my world in order, for it is my livelihood. And make my Hereafter good for me, for there I return.”3 (Amin)

Lehren aus den Suren Duha und Inschirah
(11.04.2025)
Liebe Geschwister!
