The Buddhist teaching is effective in its simplicity, but is stripped of its healing power by being embedded in Western psychological concepts and intellectual over-analysis, since it can only remove the roots of suffering through consistent, gradual ethical practice.

Nothing is simpler than the teaching of the Buddha. Because it is explained in a totally simple way, but one must follow this explanation.

The speaker emphasizes that the Buddhist teaching is not a means to generate well-being, but aims to remove the roots of suffering. He criticizes the tendency to embed complex intellectual systems or Western psychology into Buddhism, which he sees as an obstacle to the actual practice. As an analogy, he gives the example that one cannot ride an empty e-bike to Kassel when one should actually be driving a car; the application of the teaching is similar. The text warns against complicating the simplicity of Buddhist principles through excessive analysis or by ignoring ethical consequences. It is pointed out that without correct action and understanding of causality (karma), even requests to Buddhas such as Amitabha remain ineffective. Practice is described as a slow, patient process, comparable to an elephant going step by step to the watering hole. The speaker shares his personal insight that the Buddha's awakening includes rebirth as a necessary context for overcoming old age and death.

Today, the last one, I would like to say that what we are speaking about today has a lot to do with the fundamental foundation that we do not perceive the teaching of the Buddha as a comfort element, that it is about feeling-good exercises, that it is about making us pleasant feelings. It is only about us truly uprooting the roots of suffering, when in Buddhism, for example, bliss or the feeling of happiness is spoken of. People have the feeling that this is something very special, something euphoric. You must imagine, if you, perhaps remember, if you ever had a very strong problem in this life. You were very tense and then it bangs once at the door and the problem has been solved. The mouse is dead, it no longer runs through your food, that is seen symbolically. That you have a problem, which was very big, and then once, let us take such an example, you have presented it to him and he actually wanted to fire you. You are also again abstract, a bit rough and you are terribly upset about it. And then suddenly this superior has died, then the problem has died, right? The others, who then do it later, they will do it differently, we have with that one have that. And so we have many things in our life where we have problems and we are on the verge of thinking this is a problem, we will not solve it and suddenly the problem is gone. This often happened to me at work and interestingly the first years, when I had to do with this Buddhism. And back then many Rinpoches came to the West, also to Kamathen-Jalim. And there was Tengar Rinpoche with us in ... what was Tengar Rinpoche? I think it was Tengar Rinpoche. And then there was such a series, everyone was waiting for interviews. There was an interview list, then it was written in and according to the order in which you were listed, you went in. And always the one again in and privately and then out again. And then the next, like in the part, only faster. Or at the doctor. And very often I stood in the waiting room, I somehow had a question where there was no harm, where I simply did not need to go on. And when there were only 4 or 5 left before me, the question had been clarified. Why had it been clarified? Because the teaching of the Buddha leaves no real questions open. So, on the way there I realized, this is an irrational question. An irrational question is, for example, someone asked me earlier, how it is, it is written in some text that the disciple of a brother, so-called Brutist, has the greatest possibility to do something, in the moment when he dies. And there the question was, what happens then? Because one thinks, a certain thing happens. So if before dying we think of the teaching of the Buddha and have the idea, what will it be? Liberation, not liberation, what will happen? And that is where our ego does not want to fix anything. I do this and that and then exactly that result comes out. That does not happen. Because around it, everything that is connected with any things has an influence on what we do. In the example, it is said, if in the moment of death the whole time, really, I cannot do it, then oh Kamapap please, bring me to the land of Buddha Amitabha. I have practiced shit and only made problems and stress, but please Kamapap, bring me to the land of Buddha Amitabha. I have deceived them all and have only thought of myself. Oh, please, Buddha, bring me to the life after Devachhen. But I have only brought the community, only trouble and quarrels and I have stolen money from Darmel and so on. Ah, dear Kamaparete, bring me to Devachhen. Theoretically it is said that Kamapar takes anyone who calls him by the hand and brings him to Devachhen brings. If we, the poor, have set ourselves against half the world, then Kamapar cannot help us either. That is why, as Kanurumpachis says, most will be reborn as animals or in the formless realm. Then it is only because we have ignored what is the teaching of the Buddha, which was explained very simply, and think, I can still do it anyway. Yes, yes, no, I can still do it anyway. I know how I handle it, damn it, but I do it anyway. I am of the opinion that I am right, I can still do it anyway, because that does not work. Therefore, the Buddhist acid is totally simple. Nothing is simpler than the teaching of the Buddha. Because it is explained totally simply, but one must follow this explanation. If I, for example, think, I want to go now to Kransee to the train station. I always have a car out there, then I simply take his e-bike. I have, if it is lying here in front, my car is at the Paarplatz, ok? Now I take his e-bike and ride with the e-bike, I make Kransee and think, I will arrive in Kransee. That will not last long enough, the battery until Kransee. There I must of course hitchhike to get there. And then I want to take the train and then ride, then I will not arrive. Because I have the idea to arrive there, but I have caused myself so many problems beforehand that I do not arrive there. Do you understand what I mean? Yes, we pretend we want to go to Kransee and it is very simple, to take out, there it starts to the Paarplatz, there is a car already at the train station. Would be very simple. Generally so simple is the teaching of the Bundes. It is not complicated. We make it complicated so that we can maintain our suffering-friend actions, because we are used to it and think, we need that. We need this feeling of our self-confirmation, our self-approval of our idea. We need that. And then we have problems. Then we have real problems. I have experienced so many academics in this institution. Highly educated people. All these people think and yes, they are also intellectually far superior to me. They differ in that I have no desire to compare the whole Bundes teaching, to analyze it, to embed it in our systems, to make comparisons and to look at what that has to do with our society. As one academic woman once said, it cannot be that the whole thing she studied has been in vain. And he says, with regard to the teaching? Completely. Completely in vain. I say, I want your job there and you can use that, but with regard to the teaching. No, that does not work at all, one must also take something over. Do not say it. If that takes over, it does not work. Because that is actually your system that works. And if you have it in a functioning system and put something into the functioning system that does not work, a very simple example. If one thinks one can bring psychological ideas into Buddhism, it is doomed to fail. Psychology does not work. It helps a little here and there, but it does not heal. It covers up. It gets one through the day. But it has no lasting benefit. If one applies the teaching of the Buddha, then it has a lasting benefit. If we do very rigid things in our society, I always warned against it, if one does anything with the Buddhist teaching, one should do it like a well-behaved child. One should not put so much on the plate that one cannot digest. One should put only as much on the plate as one can digest. No more. Some can perhaps mountains, but I have in all the years only put as much on the plate as I can digest. I have listened to it, thought about it and applied it to myself. If I had now made very complicated, intellectual comparisons, yes, that It is quite similar to religion and psychology and therapy and Buddhism, so ultimately it is all the same, it is all about the same thing, and so on. No. Then I am constantly occupied with talking about food, but never eating anything. I will starve. I will be Dostig and I will talk about wine, beer, coffee, seltzer, cocoa, mountain water, river water, and everything. Dostig will drink nothing. Never think that you can put anything from our social system into Buddhism. There are many people who claim that, but Trump Barmboche already said in 1978 that Buddhism and therapy are incompatible. You can do therapy, then therapy is one thing, and then you can do something with Buddhism. But both together do not work. If we engage with the Buddha’s teaching, we proceed step by step. And that is why I said earlier, I was truly delighted earlier that it became truly clear to me for the first time that the wish of Prince Hedata, the overcoming of old age, illness, and death, necessarily includes the knowledge that there is rebirth. It only became clear to me today, after more than 40 years. And it is so joyful to acknowledge or to realize and to see that everything that is on the path, that the Buddha taught, it is as if many things are floating around us and we always receive in our hands what we can just digest, what we can just deal with. There is no pace in Dharma practice. If we continuously, I have always said this before, like an elephant in the dry season going to the waterhole, then the elephant does not run, he takes one step, then one step, then one step, then one step. He knows that the waterhole is there and he does not try to run there very quickly so that he can quench his thirst. One would then have used too much water, he goes one step after another. He knows that there will be water. And it is the same with applying the Buddhist teaching. If you know that you are on this track, your train does not derail from this track. And then you do that at another place. So we come back to what we have said. Prince Hedata wanted to overcome the suffering of old age, illness, and death. This must include that rebirth is compulsory. In his time, most religions, the views of his time were that there is rebirth. That was consensus in society. That was, of course, simpler from that perspective. But when awakening has occurred, when awakening occurs, there is nothing more to do. Because from the perspective of awakening, which is non-dualistic, all beings, all appearances, all phenomena are complete, everything is one. And when awakening has occurred, from the perspective of the observer of awakening, all beings are awakened. That is why Prince Hedata, at the beginning, after he had attained awakening and he had essentially become a Buddha, did not initially go among the people. He withdrew into the forest. Then two old men appeared. That was Brahma and Vishnu, the gods, who really exist. And it is like a government seat. The Vishnu who is there is not always the same Vishnu, but even Vishnu passes away. And then there is the throne, which is always newly occupied, like Queen Elizabeth and then King Charles. From this divine realm came Vishnu and Brahma, and Vishnu in the form of two old men and simply, as Prince Hedata had said, you promised in previous lives to show the way out of suffering, go among the people. The state of a Buddha means that he rests in total intentionlessness. There is no intention of separation anymore. As soon as teachings arise, there is the teacher and those who receive the teaching. And the former prince, the Buddha, saw his old friends, companions, the Ascheese. In them, there were then those who were angry with him because he had left the faith, and they wanted, they wanted to turn their backs on him. But the closer he had come, the more they were all absorbed by the radiance of the Buddha. And they asked him, what has happened? When he said the first sentence, he said, Awakening has occurred. He could not have said, I am the Buddha, but he could only have said, Awakening has occurred, without fixation on self and other. The next thing he said, in that case, yes, what have you realized? He did not say, yes, there are so and so many Buddha families, and there is a mandala, and there is that. Rather, he had to tell the people exactly what had driven him out of the palace. I have, he would not have said, I have, but the truth about suffering. And the listeners would have said, why suffering, for that is a burden, we can manage. The second thing he said, if there is suffering, then there is also a cause of suffering. And there begins the slow separation between the beings and him. The beings think, the state is to blame, my wife at home is to blame, the children are to blame, the others are to blame for the problems we have. And he then said, suffering arises only from craving, aversion, and ignorance. If these are the causes, then there must also be a means to dissolve these causes of suffering. One comes to the third of the Four Noble Truths. And the fourth noble truth is that he said, this is the Noble Eightfold Path. And this is very important, it is not the right path, it is the Noble Eightfold Path. First the term Noble, how does the Noble Eightfold Path function? Because if we say, right speech, what is right speech? What is right livelihood? That is not precise. So the Buddha must have said, the Noble Eightfold Path. And that was what he at the beginning, that was what the people immediately, they heard it and they could immediately, if it had been the right path, they would not have been able to apply it at all. Then they would have asked, what is the right path? What is right thinking? But if you say, the Noble View, so the Noble View refers to recognizing that suffering arises from these three things. And that it is overcomeable. That is the view. The view is not some kind of monster of Buddhism, it is the Noble View. Do I know, for they did not yet know much. Rather, what they learned there is that suffering has a cause and that there is something that overcomes it, that is the Noble View. And the Noble View means that these three things, craving, aversion, and ignorance, arise from the disturbing emotions we have, pride, envy, greed, hatred, and stupidity or ignorance or delusion, that this arises from that. And that we do the opposite of these three basic factors or the five, if one describes them as the five fundamental mental poisons, then that one does the opposite of suffering. Then it is logical. That is to say, I have these and then it is called the Noble View. And that his Noble Thinking is, Noble Thinking means, I no longer cultivate my suffering thoughts. My suffering-producing thoughts, I do not cultivate them. I give up my suffering-cultivating thoughts. So I will also give up my suffering-cultivating speech, and I will strive to develop a Noble Speech. And so the Noble Eightfold Path results. And it is so clear. He only reacted, what do you have? He did not teach in a superficial manner. He did not say, I know, I have the secret... Do not understand, I will tell you one. Rather, the students asked him. That is a big difference. Whether someone goes around and says, I have it and I do an institution, comes here, pays the fees, I am incredibly good at it. He simply always reacted to beings because he was intentionless. Intentionless means, from his perspective, that he was fully awakened. There was no more duality. Confused beings and confused ones the grids. What is it that distinguishes us from the Buddha? Only one thought. Actually, the one thought: I. And with that I, I want, I do not want. And that is just shit to me. That is the engine of all suffering. When this energy stops, individuality ceases. What remains? Pure Buddha Nature. Pure Buddha Nature knows and is filled with compassion. The highest siddhis, the highest abilities of a being, are knowing and being filled with compassion. There is no more left or right, anything. Only pure compassion. With all sentient beings. That is why it was said, how can one break the Bodhisattva vow? So I have compassion with all sentient beings that have ever existed, but with my neighbor, the settler, with him I have no compassion. Then I break my Bodhisattva vow. If we exclude even one being from compassion, the Bodhisattva vow is broken. Therefore, because I so often, how many times have I already mentioned Hitler, Stalin, and Idi Amin in the teachings. Again and again. They also have the Buddha nature. Why did they do that, if they have the Buddha nature? Just like when I once stole an ice cream. Stole the soda bottles from the cellar. Out of ignorance. However, we can be grateful that in our mind there is not the power that we can act as painfully as Hitler and Stalin just did. Or like Baerbock, what is her name, Hasselblatt, no, the best Minister of Economics we ever had, Habeck. That we are not in the position to be so painful, what a luck. When you die, you will lose everything. Baerbock should now also have a private chat, I read somewhere. Yes, you earn so many millions. What do you want to do with the millions, if you are alone, in a small apartment, 2.5 luxury apartment, square meters, I mean, 2.5 rooms, apartment, which is then 300 square meters large, there was always a bicycle break, to fall to the toilet. Do you understand? We can be happy that we are not in the position of power, therefore we cannot act so painfully. We were, yes, in past lives we were all of that. Therefore, the wish for happiness is to be found here in the world of appearances. We cannot become happiness, temporarily, have sensual pleasures temporarily, it may be that we win the lottery once. We think we have luck, but most lottery winners are known. They were unhappier afterwards than they were before. They did not become happier through the much money. What is it that I recommend to you? Finally, please like yourselves. Really, please have compassion with yourselves. Then ask yourselves quite honestly, does it absolutely have to be a Rolls-Royce? Or a Maserati? Can you not rather drive on the street here? Rolls-Royce is still okay, but you cannot drive a Maserati on the street here? What do you have from a Maserati or Rolls-Royce? High cost. What is it called today? I would also like to afford something really nice. Please fill the gas station once full. You know, the special gift is what we have always possessed. We have always possessed the Buddha nature. We have forgotten since beginningless time that we were one with all appearances and we have gotten lost in the world of appearances and identified with them and bound ourselves with them and taken the air from life with them. Therefore, we are born and die. We are born, we grow old, we become sick and we will die, because all the time we act upon ourselves, because we take ourselves so seriously, because we think, if I am happy, then is still the most important thing to be done. And how unlogical that is. The desire to be happy oneself at the expense of others; it is impossible that others can make us happy. What is it, what is it that truly makes us happy? When we have compassion for others, we are pleasantly disposed towards everyone. Do you understand what I mean? If we truly have compassion for others, then you no longer have worries, because you do not need a Maserati, you do not need a Rolls-Royce, you do not need a villa on Lake Tegernsee, you do not need recognition, you do not need power, none of that. You are simply, if you have compassion, truly compassion for all sentient beings, your egocentricity, that goes up to the 7th Awakening Snap. Therefore, we do not need to worry about it at all. These are only veils of a thought. We only need to see that we do not constantly feed the thought of the Swallow Design. What is it that we no longer feed it? Because we try to be clever so that we have fewer problems. We have fewer problems when we have compassion. I no longer have to think about where I can get a loan for my new car, for my villa. Do you understand, that is the crazy thing. We can check in our own mind that it must necessarily, logically necessarily be the case that we are happier when we no longer have all these desires. How does it look from the perspective of the Choice, Jonas? Jonas. What do you understand, what I mean? What should one simply understand? Our desire, where we now also, regarding spirituality earlier, where you spoke. People replace all these concepts, invent artificial concepts and think they can reinvent the wheel, reinvent water, and simply put together new belly-basting, steep little thi

Was ist rechter Lebenserwerb? Was ist das, was uns vom Buddha unterscheidet? Was bleibt übrig? Reine Buddha Natur. Ja, du wendest so viele Millionen verdient. Habt euch doch endlich mal gerne. Hochkost.
