True wisdom and inner peace arise through the regular, all-pervasive practice of mindfulness and mindfulness of death, which enables the letting go of attachments to the impermanent.
The text addresses the practice of mindfulness and mindfulness of death (Mānānā) in the context of Thai Buddhism. It uses the Jataka story of Kuruka, in which a Bodhisattva as a king meets a rich man, to illustrate the impermanence of life. The speaker emphasizes that true wisdom lies in practicing letting go and grasping the reality of death through daily mindfulness, rather than only thinking about it in moments of crisis. It warns against misunderstanding mindfulness of death as mere fear of one's own death; it should be a habitual perspective on the impermanence of all things. The narrative connects this teaching with concrete examples of the everyday danger of death, such as accidents or illnesses. The text calls for the regular cultivation of the Uposatha practice and meditation in order to find inner peace and equanimity in the face of loss.

There was a snake that was sleeping. It was bitten by a thorn that entered its eye. It was therefore very angry and agitated. Whoever came to tend to the fire and caused this incident, it immediately left its hole with great irritation and dissatisfaction. Its tail turned red. It went to the leg of a certain man. Why did that man fall asleep on the ground? His eyes were open, lying there. In India, during the reception, for this reason, the country was in turmoil. With the program to receive the news, they met her as a daily matter. Every day, happiness is the peak of the story of wisdom. Wisdom is the highest point, the summit of the highest in this part. There is a human being as the highest speaker, the best. Then there is wisdom as the highest extinguishing of speech. Wisdom, what does wisdom do? Wisdom cuts. Wisdom abandons. Wisdom is what will be released. What will be abandoned, reduced. The grace is not released like that. Perhaps, the class does not care. It is not good with wisdom, but with love. From the one we love, from us, it goes away. Our Lord, when He was a human being, also encountered many stories like this. There is a science of everything, a matter that reaches the highest, the one who is loved. And how does one not grieve? If not for stories like that, tell us, teach us. Deceiving girls is a regular thing. Now, I will tell you two or three Jataka tales. In the main story, it is about what we will do if our child dies. Why, how? But we have time, we will continue with another story. It is a story that adds to the understanding. And the first story is the Kuruka Jataka. At that time, the Buddha met a wealthy man. A wealthy man means a person who has much wealth. But we will go away, following the wealth he has. In ancient times, in India, we also went from the highest. You, the wealthy person, the one who can do anything easily. The Cham people, the Cham region, according to their customs, they will go to find something. They want to work all day. In this, it is called a wealthy man. That is, starting from having a body, having care. That is, being a regular person who loves caring for various things. There should be a part that is the body itself. Go away. Starting from entering the path of having money to rise, or being a wealthy person. Going up, there will be a class. This class will have three levels. Going up, it will be the level of seeking the class. This speaks of a very wealthy person. Because the king died, and his father died. The king died, the father died, and then it is not a problem. He lies down, works, is very sad. Stays at home. No one takes care of the house. Everything he loves, he does not care about. He does not go to the temple. It is said that one day, the Buddha went to his house. Because he went to inquire about the matter, because he was very sad. And he taught in our assembly that, "Let us remain in non-attachment. We must have a sign. A good sign. The sign of the eightfold path in the religion. The sign of celibacy. And then we will begin mindfulness of death, regularly. Now, protecting ourselves, protecting everything, each individual's life toward. That is, the life of animals. C ************… This is not right. Going away, going away, going away, just going away. There is none. But going together to maintain the sign. Going together to prepare the power. From that, it will be the power of using the method called mindfulness of death. That is, reaching one side of mindfulness of death. Mindfulness of death is not about, "Oh, I must die today," or "In a few minutes," or "I might die at any time." This is not the correct practice of mindfulness of death. Checking every time, just once, is not right. It should be a taste in viewing the world with the bad side, because in order for us to practice mindfulness of death correctly, it must have two aspects together. In the loving moment, one must first see the truth. Seeing the reality of impermanence. It is very much present. The face of death, there is a lot. Walking, one can fall and die. Looking, one can see someone fall to the ground. A thorn enters the ear and one can die. Sitting in a car, another car hits, sometimes one dies or is injured. Just being in our own house, sometimes, a ceiling fan, how it falls, unknown. A roof tile, like a fault, a fault that does not break the head, a broken head, no one knows, one can die. Or eating food, suddenly, a bone fragment slips into the throat, one chokes, it does not last long, one can die. This is, while living well, we think that a cobra like this is on the other side. Suddenly, it grabs that, grabs this. Not washing hands. Just the nose, the mouth, the eyes, looking. It is not that it will cause a description of this. The majority, if the story of this, seeing the reality of death is very much present. If we die, this is one thing. Next, the second thing is the maintenance of our body. In it, there are five. These people should follow this pattern. Continuously. Continuously means every 15 days, that is, every 7 days. Because they have the practice of observing the Uposatha every 7 days. Now, there must be a sign. Or in the period of observing the Uposatha, not just one day, but two days, that is, the day before and that day. Do not think that symmetry will not end because the practices that are lazily validated. It is desired, do not guess the USB, the child that is reaped. Oh! Teaching like this, not needing to teach every downhill that interestingly comes because of Shin cdecela. The portfolio warehouse is also bad. Please, return, already.
The question of the beating. Ware, Jang-kun-kun-kao, gradually, this type is not good. Tan Miranda wears ICP. Si-eta, Rak-kha, which Mana Huk-sam-da teaches regularly, and continues to teach for a long time. At first, it was made into an announcement. It is an announcement. If you encounter a country, it is like the story of a weaver in a weaving shop. That is, in the weaving shop, where the Buddha went to the city of Oravi, and then taught the monks there to contemplate until death, to contemplate continuously. Then there was a woman who was a weaver in this weaving shop. She also contemplated this matter constantly. It was a continuous practice. She went for 3 years, every day for 3 years, contemplating this matter. Returning to 04, to 1, going deep into the analysis. In this context, they are far apart, doing it as a listening practice. Being happy to have stability in contemplating this matter, being a little bit, arising one day, listening. At that time, the host also went to the house with his son to arrange the work that had to be done in his own house. Because he was using a Thai hoe, the house was also preparing the ground for planting. As for the son, he took whatever he had found from the hoe, or gathered the area, or something like that. He took the hoe, not the sky, wanting to do something different. He prepared to burn the area where the banana trees were. When burning in the field, they had to look at the direction and look at the wind. The son of the Bodhisattva also prepared by taking that difficult hoe and burning the field at the time of the banana tree. Because if a fire arose, he could still run to the banana tree. The Bodhisattva would erase the fire that arose from that banana tree. Or if in an area without banana trees, he had to burn that area down. There were no large trees, no branches lying around. The Bodhisattva would prevent the fire from spreading in that place. The son of the Bodhisattva came to burn the area far from the banana trees. In the area of that banana tree, there was a snake coiled up. It was a very venomous snake. There was a venomous snake coiled up in the banana tree. We also had to be careful about the wind blowing the banana tree. Because when we burn this fire, we have to stand upwind, right? The banana tree had to be behind us. There was a venomous snake coiled up in the banana tree. If it was appropriate, it would answer. You were not satisfied. Sleeping here, it does not have eyelids. This snake does not blink. Because it does not have eyelids. When sleeping, you open your eyes. But it is very sensitive to its own body. If there is something, you must use Rak to rise up. You must come out to see who is disturbing you. I will sleep. The son of the Bodhisattva turned his face to the fire, right? The Bodhisattva looked at its new burning. Using various types of hoes, it was enough to serve. The snake came out. Not observing, doing that work. The snake, with anger, then attacked it. It bit into the leg. The leg was full of bites. It went in. This is the life of the listening practice. Speaking of our own life. But taking it from the mind, then going to the whole body and returning. Hitting the mind again. Using less than a minute, it was captured. About 45 seconds. At that moment, the snake’s venom was spreading. The heart was beating. The brain, this one, it took the venom and would return. Less than a minute. And if it is at the place where it returns to the heart, less than 30 seconds, definitely. The technique can follow the venom. It enters the heart. Then it goes to the whole body, right? The snake was bitten by the venom. It reacted. It was an antigen and an agent. It stiffened up. It said that when it stiffens, it is not enough for 30 seconds. The whole body stiffened. The wind went down. Not enough to feel pain. Because it is a very venomous snake. The Bodhisattva was using a Thai hoe, hoeing the ground. He observed and saw what the son was doing. Why is the wind going down like this? Standing like this? At the banana tree. There was also a fire burning nearby. Oh, suspicious. Our son must have been bitten by a snake. The flesh looks like this. Looking from far away, he stopped the hoe. We also went to look. Seeing the son’s eyes, he then hugged him and placed him in a certain place. Then he covered him. He did not cry at all. Continuing to hoe, finishing until the point where he could rest. Then it was time for the doctor, who was going to leave, to come along with the horse. With the mother, with the wife, with the daughter. The son also came. And when it was time, he asked Uncle Doctor to come. He also brought flowers. Buran took this matter to tell the mother of the Bodhisattva. Because they knew each other, asking if the husband was still alive or not. The mother was very worried. She also started to worry. Doctor, oh, suspicious. Knowing that we might die. Because in India, in the past, listening, if anyone died in the house, everyone would wear white clothes. It would not be like now, where they wear black clothes. In India, they wear white clothes. Because they came to serve. And they told everyone to wear white clothes, meaning someone had died. Not knowing who died, it was the son who died. After asking and knowing that the person mentioned was the one who said the son would die, it was enough for the husband. He was not afraid, not scared, not shocked first, asking who died, what would happen to us, would he really die? None of that. He came and saw that the Bodhisattva was sitting alone in the room of the tree.
There is something here, my child. I have prepared four bowls of rice. We have already arrived, so let us eat the rice first. I said that I have been working all day and am tired. After we finish eating the rice, I will speak. Then, let us rest before nightfall. The deceased is lying in an arrangement. The face is straight. Is there any crying or wailing? There is no other sound. There is no air that shows sadness. There is no wailing or anything like that at all. The coffin has already been placed. Take the body of the deceased. Hope to lift it up onto the coffin. Cover it with a pile of fragrant flowers. Then light incense directly at the head. The deceased does not want to be alone. Everyone is the same. Even if a sibling dies, there are no tears. If a younger sister or older brother dies, there are no tears. If a servant who served the master dies, there are no tears. If a father or mother who lost a child dies, there are no tears. And they fall into a state of delusion. They need the help of the Lord. This will rise up so that both can stand up. We will go to inspect and see how they are doing. And there is a reinforcement of the Lord’s own merit. One is with the second, which is a small case. No one has done much good. All of them, the glare, the quiz, Ronnie Say, the CP, are not people who have resentment. This is like a beloved child. The ears are like a father. This is also a real mother. Reactions. Why are there people who have resentment? Advertisements. If people who have resentment, the French Party, calm, come, the last one, the stator, does not say that the soul is in a state of appreciation or fear. You are a child. It is a child who hates each other. Wanting them to die. Oh, the teacher said, no, this is a real beloved child, not the only son. Oh, ah, I am very upset. Why are you not crying? Not sad? Not heartbroken? Listen to the flow as it is. Look, with the people around, at the pile of songs, one is born. The face is clear. They give each other names. What are they doing here? Looking at the water, it is like a picnic. What can they eat? It is too sweet. Afraid of the big one. American. There is a pin, but it is a person. It is probably a person who is not loved or liked. The people who are gathered are transporting. How does one make a mistake? Then follow the path that is right for oneself. Crying and wailing in the graves will not make one come back to life. Crying and wailing, pretending, does not bring back the person who is already gone. It is like the person who is still here. Probably, if one cries, the pain will become faster. Or, after crying, will there be money? There is no stomach. There is no purpose. Crying and wailing have no purpose. There is no merit, no doing of anything. Once it has entered, why does the father get the eye? The words of this, or choosing the face, several times. Once, the eye of imagination came to ask. You, mother, you, the lady, the princess, said that this good person, what is he? Sir, he is a real child. Why are you not crying at all? Is he a stepchild or a child who is not loved? Or is it that this, the mother, also said, I am sorry, sir. Even if one person, different from me, uses time, five or ten seconds, the various cries come out, and still giving milk that has passed through the opportunity, the wind of upbringing, the fault. Hey, because it is his male body. Seeing the struggle of birth, it is born. Seeing the struggle of death, it dies. You will come to wail, to cry, to weep. Once dead, it does not know anything. Knowing that it is being burned by fire, still not feeling pain or heat. It has been placed, the floor will be propped up. It is lifted up to be in a position. Arranging various things well, still not feeling pain or feeling anything. There is still karma, whatever it is, it has gone. According to the karma that is merit or that is demerit, it goes. In the hearing of this matter, from the sound, approximately speaking as a mother, then asking the person who is the daughter-in-law, that all of these, what are they to you? Must you not make them cry? Cannot eat food. Wailing and cursing. My parents, I will probably be heartbroken. Good that I am like this. For my sake, they will probably be heartbroken that I am wailing and cursing. Knowing how to cry, there will only be more goodness. If there is no use, then go according to their path. That is already there. Once buried, then look, what cannot be seen. Finished. These people also have wisdom among themselves. Please ask the person who is the queen to look. The person who is in the house, what are they to you? Is it the husband? Should you look at her? Should it be that, being a husband, is it a husband who is not loved or not? When the queen’s husband dies, is there a husband or not? Why? You are like this: if the husband is lost, oneself must also be lost. Why are you not crying? I say that the queen is also introducing this to listen? Saying that, if there is this child, he does not know anything. Oh, two or three times, sitting on the mother’s lap in the evening of the full moon. And then seeing the moon, oh, I like it very much. Telling mother, mother, give me the moon. Mother says, you cannot take it, child, it is the moon. The child says, no, I will not take it, I will take it. Mother says, child, it is the moon. The child also cries for it like that. Wailing, child. The child cries wanting the moon. How can it be given? The one who wails also wails for the one who has already died. Praying that they come back to life. Even if they have life, they are not seen. Even if they are dead and lying there, all the time, that they have life, it is not contradictory. But the child sees the moon again. The child wants the moon. It is still more sad than the place. It is still coming to prop.
Dusamra or Jringmai, the child cried out, lost sight, desired but did not obtain. My master is very good, has rank, has compassion, teaches, gives work. Like my master is a person within the family, is a child, is a friend, is a relative, lives in this family. Both the Buddha is a father, both the male child, both the female child, both the mother, all take care of well. Then why did you not cry? The heart of the slave is more than that. Like a doctor, a doctor who fills water, when he lifts it up, you cry, will it return to be like before? Even if there is crying and using the old method, and still the karma is not good, it is not like before. Especially if a person has died and cries, surely it will not come back to life. Up to this point, one must listen in accordance with what is the Buddha’s blessing, as spoken after the burial of the body of our Lord Buddha in the time of the Buddha’s passing, because looking at the house that has risen, whether it is happiness, meaning having passed through suffering, still being raw, still not having passed through suffering, but having destruction, is a place to reach in the city ahead. Like the name of this person, and if born, one must die as is normal. If one can listen to the words of everyone, the father, the mother, the younger sister, the relative, and also the servant, by the matter of listening, one acts according to one’s own intention, showing that one is a king, then uses one’s own power to create property, a good foundation in this family, and then gives the inheritance to be maintained, a good color, lives in the palace, is a person without measure, does not have to do work, continues to live comfortably. Then the Lord will say that the slave, who is a servant in this house, has now become Lady Kujutra, who has now become Lady Wuanwan, the one who died by being shot at the invitation, also has now become Lady Prarakan, Frilmanda, who is a relative of the same family, namely Queen Kema, and the Brahmin who is the head of the family is Prince Valsalining. Here they did not say that the relative of the child who died is counted as whom. This is the content that comes from the Urcachanda. I think that this content will be different, I think it is the merit of the yellow one, using one’s own name to act at that time. The story of King Sathra is that the father lost his life. The picture that is a prodigy is not two at all. This picture is fighting a group of people, directly listening, or that his father died. The father dying is a very big matter, like in this city. What work is not done, so he went to pay respects to him at his house, then told this story to listen, that the Brahmin and the bandit, they are not like this. The one who has died, they do not lose heart, but they continue to do work, having understanding that the matter of the world is done well in eight ways, or that the matter of the lord continues, who is explaining work in the group of the Prandhi. Then there is a moth
