The Jobcenter, police, fire department, and many others have been tested, as well as the handling of civil protest has been rehearsed.
We stand in the way of this military maneuver. We follow the call of "Disarm Rheinmetall" to Hamburg: We will not give up our coexistence for war and destruction!
Such military events cause all masks to fall. It becomes clear here how the world is set up: The claim to power of Western states comes first and is militarily secured by NATO. The current wars worldwide bear witness to this – and for their enforcement, further armament is being pursued. This also includes the further advancement of the militarization of society: While cuts are made everywhere else, there is endless money available for armament. The establishment of a new military service registration and the restructuring of the healthcare system for military purposes also follow this principle.
Armament and war preparation are expressions of domination, exploitation, and destruction. People are burned out either way: directly at the front in war and, in the time they call peace, through capitalist exploitation. Wars, just like the climate crisis, lead to suffering and displacement, destroy human lives, and rob people of their livelihoods.
War and the climate crisis are closely interwoven and fuel each other. Armament and wars pour oil on the fire of the climate crisis: Resources are invested in armament, and in war, not only human lives but also the environment is destroyed and the climate is heated up. Additionally, access to fossil energies such as gas plays a central role in many wars, and global trade fills the war coffers. For us, it is clear: Fighting against gas and gas expansion means fighting against militarization. Climate justice and anti-militarism are two sides of the same, global struggle!
But war and the climate crisis are man-made – and therefore things can be different! We want a different, better future for all of us. For that, we need a system change. "System Change not Climate Change" means a good life for all instead of destruction through war and climate crisis.
From September 24th to 26th, we will disrupt the NATO maneuver in Hamburg and set our version of a good future against this militarization.

Diesem Militärmanöver stellen wir uns in den Weg. Wir folgen dem Aufruf von Rheinmetall entwaffnen nach Hamburg: Wir geben unser Zusammenleben nicht hin für Krieg und Zerstörung!
Solche Militärevents lassen alle Masken fallen. Hier wird klar, wie die Welt eingerichtet ist: Der Machtanspruch westlicher Staaten steht an erster Stelle und wird durch die NATO militärisch abgesichert. Davon zeugen die aktuellen Kriege weltweit – und für deren Durchsetzung wird weiter aufgerüstet. Dazu gehört auch die weiter vorangetriebene Militarisierung der Gesellschaft: Während sonst überall gekürzt wird, ist für Aufrüstung Geld ohne Ende da. Die Einrichtung einer neuen Wehrdiensterfassung und der Umbau des Gesundheitswesens für militärische Zwecke folgen ebenso diesem Prinzip.
Aufrüstung und Kriegsvorbereitung sind Ausdruck von Herrschaft, Ausbeutung und Zerstörung. So oder so werden die Leute verheizt: im Krieg ganz direkt an der Front und in der Zeit, die sie Frieden nennen, durch kapitalistische Ausbeutung. Kriege führen ebenso wie die Klimakrise zu Leid und Vertreibung, zerstören Menschenleben und rauben Lebensgrundlagen.
Krieg und Klimakrise sind eng miteinander verwoben und befeuern sich gegenseitig. Aufrüstung und Kriege gießen Öl ins Feuer der Klimakrise: Ressourcen werden in Aufrüstung gesteckt und im Krieg wird nicht nur Menschenleben sondern auch Umwelt zerstört und das Klima angeheizt. Zusätzlich spielt in vielen Kriegen der Zugang zu fossilen Energien wie Gas eine zentrale Rolle und der weltweite Handel füllt die Kriegskassen. Für uns ist ganz klar: Gegen Gas und den Gasausbau zu kämpfen bedeutet gegen Militarisierung zu kämpfen. Klimagerechtigkeit und Antimilitarismus sind zwei Seiten desselben, globalen Kampfs!
Aber Krieg und Klimakrise sind menschengemacht – und deshalb geht es auch anders! Wir wollen eine andere, bessere Zukunft für uns alle. Dafür brauchen wir einen Systemwandel. „System Change not Climate Change“ bedeutet ein gutes Leben für alle statt Zerstörung durch Krieg und Klimakrise.
Vom 24.-26. September werden wir das NATO-Manöver in Hamburg stören und setzen dieser Militarisierung unsere Version einer guten Zukunft entgegen.
