The Ramadan Festival is an opportunity to translate the inner purification gained through fasting into lived brotherhood, care, and forgiveness, thereby strengthening the community.
Let us not regard one another as competitors or enemies, but let us stand shoulder to shoulder and live in unity and solidarity.

The sermon emphasizes the unity of Muslims across differences in language, skin color, and origin. Blessed be the Ramadan Festival!
(20.03.2026)
Brothers and sisters! Dear Muslims!
Today is the day of the Ramadan Festival! It is the reward for our devotion in the service of Allah, which we have tried to perform with great sincerity for an entire month. May it be blessed!
Today is the festival of those who unconditionally surrender themselves to Allah. The festival of those who live with the awareness: "O Allah, You said: 'Do not eat' - and I did not eat. You said: 'Do not drink' - and I did not drink. Whatever Your command is, I have tried to fulfill it." May it be blessed!
Today is the festival of those whose languages, skin colors, and origins are different - yet who share the same faith, have the same direction of prayer, pursue the same goal, and recite the same supplications. May it be blessed!
Today is the day of the Ramadan Festival! The festival of those who restrain themselves through fasting, who purify their souls, who live responsibly and mindfully. The festival of those who give from their own wealth for the sake of Allah, who share their bread with one another, and who think of those in need. The festival of those who embrace their own children while also carrying the abandoned children of this world in their hearts. May it be blessed!
Today is the festival of those who read, understand, and try to live by the last divine message to humanity. The festival of those who rejoiced at the coming of Ramadan and accompanied its departure with longing. May it be blessed!
Brothers and sisters!
Just as we have eagerly awaited the blessed Ramadan, there are today elders, relatives, and loved ones who look forward to the festival days. Let us visit them - in person if possible - honor them, and ask them for blessings.
If distances separate us, then let us pick up the phone and delight them with our voice.
At the core of visits during the festival days are respect and affection. For this reason, the younger should seek out the elders and inquire after their well-being - no matter by what means we congratulate one another. Let us preserve and pass on these beautiful traditions. Instead of impersonal mass messages, we should address our loved ones with sincere words from the heart and show them what place they hold in our lives. Allah, our exalted Creator, reveals in the Quran: "The believers are but brothers, so make settlement between your brothers. And fear Allah that you may receive mercy."1
Brothers and sisters!
Let us together follow this divine call. Let us not regard one another as competitors or enemies, but stand shoulder to shoulder and live in unity and solidarity. Let us overcome the rift between us through the warmth of the festival. Let us be aware: to apologize is a great virtue, to forgive is true greatness. Children are without doubt the most beautiful source of joy on the festival days. Let us give our children and families this year a festival they will never forget.
Brothers and sisters!
Let us first experience the joy of the festival together here, in this blessed mosque, and then carry it into our homes. Let us heed the advice of our Prophet (s), who said: "Do not harbor hatred against one another, do not envy one another, and do not turn away from one another! O servants of Allah, be brothers!"2
O Allah! Accept our efforts in worship (Ibadah) that we have performed in this month! O Allah! Help our brothers and sisters who cannot experience the joy of the festival in various parts of the world! O Allah! Let peace and tranquility prevail on earth! O Allah! Have mercy on our loved ones who were with us in past years and can no longer experience this festival with us! O Allah! Make our worldly life as blessed as Ramadan and our hereafter as joyful as the festival! (Amin)

Voller Segen sei das Ramadanfest!
(20.03.2026)
Geschwister! Werte Muslime!
(Amin)
