Thoughts and feelings are not innate but have arisen through repeated training; through mindfulness and deliberate counter-training, the mind can learn not to follow them and to neutralize them in their effect.
The text deals with the problem of excessive thinking and the resulting dissatisfaction. The central thesis is that thoughts and feelings cannot be directly prevented, but can be influenced through mindfulness and training of the mind. The author uses the metaphor of a dog that should not be locked up but trained to stay at home. The method consists in perceiving thoughts and feelings but not following them and meeting them with indifference. It is emphasized that negative feelings such as anger are not innate but have arisen through repeated training and can therefore also be changed through counter-training. The text refers to the teaching of a master and a mistress who teach mindfulness as the central tool against the dominion of thoughts. The message is directed at the inner attitude of the individual and calls for the development of equanimity and non-identification with one's own thoughts.

Many people know that they suffer because of their thoughts, thinking all sorts of things. We also know that if we think less, or don't think at all, it would be better. Great suffering has restlessness, has anger, has other things pressing in. Sometimes a voice rises up in the head saying, "Don't think so much." Sometimes this voice comes from the mind itself, saying, "Don't be a big deal, don't be curious, don't think so much." People will probably agree with this kind of thing. There will be a voice of objection arising in the mind saying, "But I can't stop thinking, what can I do?" In truth, the problem is not that the mind is not still. The mind, the mind commands the mind to think, commands the mind to think, cannot command it. But the mind can be trained. People who say that a mind that has been well trained will have a face that is not flushed, the mind cannot be commanded but can be trained. And then it will become... cannot be commanded, but can be trained. Going forward, a mind that thinks a lot, that scatters its thinking, is not that it is naturally like that, it is not that it is naturally flexible and becomes bigger on the right side. It is because it has been trained that way. A mind that has been trained to think a lot, to think scattered, without our knowing, such as when doing anything, the mind just goes, just thinking, just letting the mind think this, think that. Bathing, brushing teeth, eating, the mind is just thinking this, thinking that. A mind that has been let go like this, it will become a mind that scatters easily, a mind that cannot stop thinking. The karma of our mind, the guarding of the mind, the guarding, it arises from training. People who ride a horse, music, alluded, or train the mind to karma, to tell the mind to gradually focus on the wrong, on the wrong, the not-still must be let go of someone. The nearness is a mind that is easily angry, it does not arise by nature, it arises from training, but it is training without our knowing, or it arises from doing repeatedly. When we know this, we also go out, we also go out to train again. But before this, the mind was trained to think a lot, to think scattered, to think, to think scattered. Now we also let go of training, train the mind to think in a way that is proper, or try to train the mind to stay with the present moment. Can it be done? And in truth, people cannot be commanded, because... you don't need to be like before with this thought, it will still think, but knowing or not paying attention to that thought, not going along with that thought, this is a method that helps even though the mind is busy thinking, even if you cannot make the mind stop thinking, but that thought cannot harm the mind, because one, we know, we don't go down or go into that thought, or two, we are like it, we don't care about it. In this era, the teaching of the wise is: don't care, don't worry, don't care about others. If you use this with the mind and the emotions that arise within, it would be very good. It will think whatever, it will feel whatever, don't care, don't cover, that is, poems, if you say this is good, or poetry, it is good, even though the thought still exists, it exists but it cannot do anything, cannot create a side with the mind, it cannot do it. This is a better method, better than trying to force the mind to stay with thinking, or trying to force the mind to not think so much. It will think, it will think, but we don't care. Can you do that? That is, you must have mindfulness, mindfulness, that is the goal, not yet, a little stressed, not going to believe, not going along with the thoughts, the thoughts that help, the mind also does not go along with the emotions that will come to the mind, the mind also does not have to go along with that emotion. Use this training, because there is that, if you let the mind go along at ease, it cannot help but go along, it goes along, it is referred to as spirit, it can be trained in the mind, you will train it, train it to stay home, without having to let it go. People who have a small dog want the dog to stay home, because if it goes outside, the dog will be bitten by another dog, or the dog will scratch and hit people, or be stolen by someone. If it is a beautiful dog, but its nature is to go out to play, to be happy, it is easy to do, like keeping it in a cage, which works for a while, but when it is let out, or when someone happens to open the cage door, it slips out and runs outside the house, hard to catch. But we can train the dog, train it to stay home. When it wants to go outside, to follow people, to follow the big dog, or when there is a sound to lure it, to go look, we know, so it wants to go outside, and we call it, it knows its name, so we call it, we call it to come home, it knows the way is home. If we diligently call it, it will come in not long, it will not go to grab, will not go to bite, it will sit and wait until the owner says it can eat. Today the owner is training it, let it stand and wait, drool dripping from its mouth, that it really wants it very much, but it... does not go to eat that food, until the owner commands, then it can eat, it will slip out and go to eat, to go to bite, to go to grab. If it is a good dog, but it has the quality of holding the mind, has patience, even though it is not its nature, it also has the suffering that is hidden, because nature also has mindfulness, seeing that thought, seeing that emotion, just looking at it, that is enough, if you know, know, the power of the thought is finished, but why is it that another person is still trapped by thoughts, because one, after all, transforming, thinking a lot, still easily goes along with thoughts, in truth.
We are not to be blamed for thoughts, but everything gets lost in thought. There are thoughts, but it's okay if they're not right. There is suffering, but it's okay if it's not right. There is suffering, but it's okay if it's not right. If you see it and know it in time, but the reason is that the mind has no mindfulness at all. It gets lost in thought, it gets lost in feeling, it is immersed in feeling, led by feeling, and feeling dominates the mind, it makes the mind do this and that according to its nature. Then when it makes the mind continue to exist for it, this feeling wants to have a long life, but it knows that if it does nothing at all, it will fade away, like a fire that burns up and then fades away, because it is completely exhausted, existing without air. Let our brothers fall into these things. It's not that it will stay and walk, but that it stays, it can stay in our mind for a long time, because it will deceive our mind, to let it sink, to let it ferment, to let it continue for it. But if we have mindfulness, we will not follow that feeling and thought. If there is a mantra, let it be, let it be. It will call for us to continue for it. We don't send WhatsApp, not just the thought, the thought that the mind sinks, the mind can sink. When the mindfulness mantra comes out, and another reason, the Buddha's words, the power of the Buddha's words, the suffering that is not right. This thought is a good bow, it is a TA that tells, it can be done, this also dissolves. You torment yourself, the suffering with the mind, you torment yourself, the suffering in the mind, the suffering in the mind of the mind. I probably like to push, like a shell, that I always have, the suffering of Jesus, the suffering to know, if you help the suffering again, the process is wrong, there is suffering, there is no suffering, if I want to be tortured, if I want to encourage someone, I also want to deal with the prejudice, I can't sleep because I keep thinking, right? Sometimes it deceives us to do things. People who encounter these things, these are not just people who have desire, it's not just that they have anger, they have the thought that doing it is good, or that doing it no one will know, or they make excuses that we have sacrificed a lot, our life is difficult, now we have the opportunity, then find something to put on ourselves to help those who need help, parents. They will make excuses that help us see it as good, see it as right, let's do it, let's do it for the family, just anger, winding low, it's not because of forgetting oneself, but because of forgetting oneself, it makes us easily believe the commands of anger, and then the world of anger, the hatred of animals, we also have to go down, to do things that are not right, this is because we went down and believed the thought, and then we are in the power of feeling. But what I'm telling you, having feelings and thoughts doesn't mean that we have to follow it, follow its nature. If we have mindfulness, don't let it be our master, know its nature, it can't do anything to our mind. It's not that it will harm everything, or command to do evil, according to what is not right. Even Erik, even if there is a voice in the head that says don't think too much, don't think too much, the first thing is that you have to know that it can't be thought, but wisdom, knowing it, not following it, Sagittinoc galliini. When something has suffering, let it go, let it go, many people say, if you can do this job for quite a long time, those who interpret that maybe does not. This is true. People who speak in this way, these people, they can't do it. If you have encountered problems, it's not possible, but when there is a fancy, then earlier, let it go, racing. But what I'm telling you, that many people find difficult, it's not like that, it's really difficult, forget titles, give to elders, things that have never been done, it's as difficult as escaping, even driving a car, never having driven, driving, even if you're exhausted, it won't be, from wanting to drive a car, it's a difficult matter, in that configuration, driving a car is a difficult matter, but to learn to read, language, weather, I won't tell you, people who read, really, before the strong force, the parameter that we are happy, and we are the machine, the chicken, KKAI, the egg is not a body, but not trading with the bomb, it is a good ray to lift the leaf, drinks, it can't be said that it's prepared how, except it comes out, resolve the reflection, we have been deceived, when the creator is not the value, different attitude, it starts to write more beautifully, until it writes beautifully, then when writing is easy, you have to buy Thai writing is easy, how to write, it becomes a lesson, it becomes a practice, but for adults, people who are stubborn, people who are lazy, it's far from anyone, eating, clinging, what makes it suffer, until the word that causes pain, suffering, thinking that flows every time, thinking that flows is sad, but why still carry it, because it forgets itself, it forgets to be aware, it's not that it knows good, knows bad, but it has to train the mind to follow the thought.
Or what should be done, and what will help us is the Dharma of mindfulness. Practice it, and it has great merit and great value. What is in the mind is not just words, but it will become something that can truly be realized, if we do it properly, or if we think properly, or if we speak properly. This word, spoken thus, returns to the Buddha's karma.
